He's making a list and checking it twice.

The forum went down for a while, and so couldn’t login at all. I assumed I got the ban hammer. But, alas, it was just Vanilla Vanilla’ing.Gulfcoastguy said:He's making a list and checking it twice.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Been preparing for my job interview tomorrow for the last few days now. Slowly losing hope the closer it gets. I’m over qualified and have to pay for parking. Too much bbq makes my formal wear feel tight and I’m feeling like the job itself is a bait and switch. It’s always good practice even if it doesn’t work out. I just hate the smugness of interviewers, especially in my field.
-
It's an interview for you as well. Ask the questions you need to know to make it work for you. If you ask the wrong thing it's probably the wrong job.
-
I used to do a lot of interviews, I always tried to make it a conversation and work in questions. The amount of people who cannot hold a conversation is scary. The amount of kids who thought embellishing their resume was a good idea was surprising too. It takes about 4.2 seconds to identify them.Campbell2N said:Been preparing for my job interview tomorrow for the last few days now. Slowly losing hope the closer it gets. Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I’ve conducted quite a few myself and always tried to make it about the candidate and not some weird subset of questions.Unfortunately, where I’d ultimately like to work has specific interview qualifiers. Doesn’t matter my experience or conversational skills (thanks goodness). I’ll report back tomorrow evening after it’s all over!
-
Not sure if interview qualifiers means pre interview or in the interview. If it's in the interview make notes to make sure you stick to them. It's dumb, but I've seen good candidates get disqualified just because they didn't follow the rules. Once you make sure you get past the dumb stuff be you to make sure it's a fit

Yep- a couple of different browsers and no joy. The thread opens but is a few posts away (locked into 12:21PM if I recall correctly) from updating although the headline shows members posting to it.

The original is now operational-full reading and posting available. Perhaps the sheer volume is a contributor. IDK.
