2nd coat of marinade, wet aging at room temp for maybe 4-5 days . . .

Coming along nicely. Why did you write down the weight?
I always put the date and weight on things going into the freezer.  Mrs. Cooper thought it funny to put that on the pig board package.

lol. I also make a habit of indicating the weight. Takes the guesswork out of cross referencing your goods against recipes.

The quinoa setting reminded me of an all time great Bud Light commercial.

I've had this idea in my head forever but I've always pushed it off when Christmas came around. I couldn't pass it off any longer when my neighbors parked their RV in their backyard after purchasing a new 5th wheeler. It was my perfect opportunity. I told my wife my crazy idea in the past and she purchased me a mannequin for my birthday last month. So it was a quick text to the neighbors asking if I could use their RV as a prop. They were 100% in! So we made a quick sign and found some accessories for the mannequin. I think it turned out pretty well. We put it out yesterday and seen multiple people come up to it and take pictures with it. If it makes a few people smile and laugh I've done my job!

I missed this, this morning!  That is awesome. 😂

There is a quick cook mode, but the wait is worth it, and it holds so well you can get done a few hours early and it’ll still be good.

That's awesome. I don't believe I have ever seen that commercial.

Also, before I even plugged this thing in, my wife asks if it has a quinoa setting!

Just watched the movie tonight!  Great setup! Not too many people get mannequins for their birthday. Was it just for this purpose or are there other ideas?

Most roads have signs, stripes and a somewhat logical design. If you are expected to figure it out in a strange place then you can do even better locally. Just follow the signage and stripes.
that said roundabouts are best used in areas of 45 mph or less in my opinion. Interstates still need separated interchanges. Though 20 miles down the road they have a roundabout on the minor road on either side of the interstate.
Now if you really want to blow the mind of stick in the mud drivers run them through a diverging diamond signalized intersection. There you switch to the left side of the bridge at the first light and back to the right side at the second light. That allows left hand turns onto the interstate without crossing traffic. No problem at all if you follow the signs and stripes. Using that design meant that we didn’t have to buy out two car dealerships, one of which was a Mercedes stealership.
We have a diverging diamond in town. I think it works well. It's just not natural. Yes you can follow signals and lines but crossing over to the other side of the road feels so very unnatural at first.

Yeah we had a lot of witching about that also but it was the only practical replacement for the overpass that existed at that point(didn't have interstate access). We tore that existing bridge down with equipment in less than 8 hours. On a tight schedule since we had to close I 10 to do so and it was too close to 3 car dealerships to use explosives. We built the diverging diamond prewired for a generator to run the traffic lights  in anticipation of hurricane power loss.

Another diverging diamond exists less than an hour east on I 10 at Foley Alabama.

    I miss the work sometimes.

I've been wanting to do this for quite a few years but I've always put it off as mannequins aren't cheap and even used ones still are too much that I want to spend for something that will get used for a few weeks a year and have to store. So my wife ended up ordering it for me. It disassembles and can be stored in a box that isn't too bad for storing. I'm not sure if I'll switch it up next year as my neighbor is selling the RV in the spring. I'll maybe see if I can use the mannequin again next year but maybe a different Christmas movie.

It's been fun watching people's reactions. We've had cars stop to take pictures and others walk up to it and take pictures with it.

Had a commercial shot in my backyard, but they moved the schedule way up.  Was supposed to be next week, then moved to this afternoon, then the crew showed up at 9am, 😂.  Racing to get it final cleaned.

“Commercial”? Is that what they are calling rap videos now?

That’s it. Ozzie was secretive about his quick trip, flying private. It was probably a quick stop here for a showcase.

Nephew's boy is being delivered by c section about now. As a coincidence the obstetrician on duty is the same one that delivered my nephew  either a long time ago or yesterday depending on perspective. To keep this on topic it is the same nephew that I gave my medium Egg to.

Yay!  Congrats to your nephew and family. You need to buy that youngin a mini max.
