John F Kennedy appointed his brother to head the DOJ. It’s the usual case for a president to appoint a loyalist to that position to watch his back. It’s also possible that Gaetz is there as a sacrificial nominee and also as a way to get him out of Congress.
I heard that a common expression in New England is Masshole but maybe that only applies to traffic.

Would you characterize Merrick Garland as "a loyalist" ?

The round-abouts are great fun.  I have thought about getting a 1957 Buick and just spending around 30 minutes in a round-about seeing what kind of havoc that would cause.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I thought he had already resigned, the day before he was nominated?

rotary, roundabouts are 15 mph and are tiny. no need to slow down on the rotary, just merge in and out quickly which is easier until the road department confuses everything by painting lines and putting up unnecessary signs. trying to describe how it works does not work. take that 57 down to the bahamas and try it backwards on the wrong side of the road.......thats craziness

The US protects its corporations over its citizens. The EU protects its citizens over corporations.

The EU Air Passenger Rights Act is a prime example.
