First glimmer of hope since the last IA poll.
- The senate voted on a replacement for mcconnell. The first vote eliminated rick scott, the maga favorite. It was a behind-closed-doors vote, so I guess the magats are pissed.
- The second vote eliminated John Cornine of TX, giving senate leadership to John Thune of SD.
- senator Thune spoke out against djt until recently. He is also a strong supporter of Ukraine.
The fact they chose to vote in secret tells me at least some of them are worried about djt's power grabs, and while showing no backbone, just maybe have the country's best interests in mind. Don't let the power plays interfere with doing the right thing. Clearly, posting the above means the signals are that he won't clear the appointment bar. That is the most important read I take from that.

Here "Belle of the Fifth Column" talks about "The Buffett Effect" (The Oracle of Omaha). She did mention that Warren Buffett has "not totally pulled out of the stock market", but I did read from another source that he's sold $350 Billion of his stock assets. He's also said in the past to "Buy when there's blood in the streets", meaning the stock market has tanked, that's the time to buy (Buy Low, Sell High is a well-known slogan, but so many people buy into stocks when they're peaking).
I've had two times in my life where I had a huge influx of cash, and invested in my Mutual Fund/stock market, and both times were right before a crash; just once in my lifetime I'd like to do the opposite. This time might be it; I have too much cash in a stupid Savings Account, and a lot more in two CDs earning 5.5% (!) and those will all be funneled into stocks if, as Warren seems to be predicting, we have a crash coming up.
