I really don’t know how anyone can pay one iota of attention to these hearings and walk away thinking it’s not a big deal or there’s nothing to see here.  It’s astonishing.

@JohnInCarolina - Unfortunately as has been stated the people who need to see these hearings will not tune in. Have a good neighbor who will not watch and a conversation about what was presented will not happen. I do notice that previously his television was always tuned to Fox network but is no longer. I suppose he doesn't even want his beliefs shaken, even by that particular networks filter.

^^^ that is definitely the truth right there.  Sobering is not strong enough.  The precipice this country was facing was thwarted by those who honored their oath to  support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC (emphasis added).  Thank each and everyone one of those on the screen and behind the scenes that upheld the rule of law over the clown show.  The pressure had to be extremely strong.
To those who still have any loyalty to Cheeto-read the oath he took and then read the US Constitution.  Where do you stand???
You can't make this crap up although I'm sure networks will.

WTF is wrong with everyone.  Do Trump supporters really hate democracy that much?  We had a great economy, low taxes, and everyone was doing well.  That does not negate the fact he was basically Caligula. Rome was going to burn.  He has been shown to bend Lady Liberty over and try and rape her.  His "patriots" don't care.

For many die-hard Trump supporters, his primary appeal is that he pisses off liberals.  Turns out, among lots of other things, liberals get pissed off when the President craps all over the constitution.  So it’s still a win for them, you see?

**** is a parody of himself.  Just like the tweet above.  Stupidity.  You have to be fuckin bonkers stupid to think you just send fake elecrors to congress.  Seriously!?  No, I mean, seriously!?  That is like of a 2nd grader planned a coup.  And his supporters are like, "yeah, that's right, you guys lose, we win, suckers!".  Do they really think that is how the world works? Giant game of duck duck goose?

As an aside, do not look up the lyrics for duck duck goose by Cupcakke.  Seriously, don't.  You will be scared for life.

It is ridiculous.  But it’s not just his supporters.  It should tell you all you need to know about the current GOP that the pariahs of the party are Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, and not the many members carrying water for all of this Trumpian BS.

"The Jan. 6 committee presented new evidence yesterday of Republican members of Congress seeking pre-emptive pardons from former-President Trump. Witness testimony from former White House aides portrayed members of Congress as concerned about potential exposure to prosecution in the wake of their support for Trump’s attempts to stay in power. Trump “had hinted at a blanket pardon for the Jan. 6 thing for anybody,” Trump’s former head of presidential personnel, Johnny McEntee, testified. Those who sought pardon included Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), and Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ). Maggie Haberman, Michael S. Schmidt and Alan Feuer report for the New York Times.

    2020 ELECTION PROBES

Federal investigators carried out a search on Wednesday at the home of Jeffrey Clark, a former Justice Department official, in connection with the department’s criminal inquiry into efforts to overturn the 2020 election. It remained unclear exactly what the investigators may have been looking for. However, Clark was central to former- President Trump’s unsuccessful effort in late 2020 to cajole the nation’s top prosecutors into supporting his claims of election fraud, and the search suggests that the criminal investigation could be moving closer to Trump. Alan Feuer, Adam Goldman and Maggie Haberman report for the New York Times. "

It’s pretty telling how many friends and family members I have who say “I don’t watch or listen to the news anymore…it’s so negative and I don’t need that in my life” I guess “head in the sand” is one way to play it.

When was news not predominantly negative?? A cover for the head in the sand (aka ostrich) approach when the news contains information that challenges the big lie that you are so axle-wrapped around.  Sad and scary.

And the uninformed still get to vote.  My son showed me a Tik-Tok challenge where people did "eenee-meanie-minni-moo" to pick who they were voting for and what referendums they voted for.

I understand the historical injustices related to "acceptability tests" for voting, so I do not pretend this is an easy problem to solve, but when this is all seen and treated as a joke, how do we stand a chance.

I just watched that video, and man you have to hand it to Klepper the way he tees these people up. Given how many times he's done something similar, you'd think people like this would run for the hills once he appeared on site.  But then you realize that probably none of those people have seen him before, because they don't watch TDS.

I made it half-way through.  The cringe factor was just too much for me.  That guy has brass balls.  I would have been afraid someone would have shot him.  Not sure which group has a higher general IQ Juggalos or people who still support Trump in 2022.

Juggalos are music fans, and if you want to pigeon hole them, they are generally uneducated from poor, working class families and economically depressed small towns.  When the FBI categorized them as a "gang", it really screwed with their civil rights.

The Jaggalos used to hate Trump, don't know if they still do or not.

I think it's easy to appraise groups of people as low-IQ, but I think it would be more accurate to attribute behavior to lack of education or propensity to believe conspiracy.  Lots of that is cultural, sure, but there are plenty of high and low IQ people on both sides of anything.  Just more likely on one side the ones with a high IQ are manipulative.

A friend of mine in highschool was a Juggalo.  He ended up with a full academic scholarship to Brown and was part of their undergrad program that was automatically approved for Med school.  He graduated, became a doctor, and specializes in Emergency medicine with rights at three major hospitals in California.  I realize I was make sweeping generalizations and stereotypes.

There is a common saying now: every republican accusation is actually a confession.  And its 95% true.
There were two (that I know of) audio/video manipulations leading up to the '20 elections.  The first was a slowed-down audio of Peloci, which made her sound drunk; was soon exposed to be done by an unemployed maga fan playing on his computer in his mommy's basement.
The second one was audio/video of a press conference in the White House, which showed (Jim?) Acosta (CNN) supposedly striking a staff member who tried to take away his microphone.  petapixel.com released a side-by-side clip of the real-time, and the sped-up, section of that video.  It was clearly another fake, but the scary part is that the video was released by the White House!!
There's no telling how many video clips of Biden (an easy target) are being more carefully manipulated these past two years.  The Uneducated are so easily manipulated.
