The T2 has the same power as the T1.  Wheel diameter is bigger, geometry a bit different, same grits on both wheels.  Longer warranty, twice the price.  Doesn’t seem worth it for me.

thats why im keeping with the stones, unlimited geometry, will last several generations, and more grit options......this site usually goes big or go home. a guy wants a hundred dollar meat slicer and goes home with a two hundred pound commercial grade hobart....

That one only weighs 144 pounds - he'll need something larger still.

They max out at 160 pounds.  I am assuming he will have to weigh it down with that larger Tormek knife sharpener.

Thanks for the offer man. I was just kidding, I don’t have a big use for a slicer, once or twice a year I think dang this would be easier with a slicer.

Played with the sharpener a bit works well and no messing with belts , I didn’t think it through for my cleavers as the guide is only a couple inches , I did one freehand which worked well , not sure that it’s shaper than my work sharp but certainly plenty sharp

Key is to raise a burr across the entire length of the blade on one side then the other.  Then knock the last burr off with the honing wheel without dulling the tip.  Bam, your knife is sharp.  Fail to raise that burr and you are not done.

Tormek has a video that shows how to sharpen large knives like cleavers. Basically, you just remove the plastic guide. The video also shows how to deal with knives that have a thick heel/bolster.
The whole video is worth watching...

I think that’s what I’m not doing correct is raising the burr, I’m at 17 degrees
