At some Spanish named place 100 miles West of Amarillo. Heading to Albuquerque in the morning. Cheap rate on a good hotel. Cars from everywhere in the parking lot.

The Panhandle brings in folks from everywhere going every direction.   We stay in Dumas or Dalhart when going into Colorado but we go into the Summit County area.

Sounds like you’ll slide through Tucumcari.   Spent a week there one weekend.   Ha

Should be in to ABQ by mid afternoon.

Sadie’s for dinner in Albuturkey.  Hopefully they haven’t lowered themselves to “roaming” mariachi bands yet.

If you're passing through or north of Albuquerque, take the time to go to Madrid, NM and visit Shugarman's Chocolate Shop.  Best.  Chocolate.  Ever.

He makes chocolate barks of a variety of unusual flavors that sound crazy at times but are amazing.  He just lets you taste as much as you want and there is no pressure to buy.  But after you "taste" about a pound of chocolate you feel like you should probably buy some.  It isn't cheap, but given how much free chocolate you can taste it all works out.

I don’t know if you’re into donuts at all but Rebel Donuts is top notch.  Maybe grab one in the morning before you get on the road.

Breakfast would be better. After that lunch I might just grab a granola bar.
Btw no ElectrifyAmerica chargers in Durango, Charge Point seems to have that area sewed up.

Beautiful stretch of road there between ABQ and Durango.  Enjoy the views.

    Safe travels!
The problem with a problem is that you don't know it's a problem until it's a problem, and that is a big problem.

Is there another kind of Indian casino?

After a previous thread in which I caught a ration for using the word Indian I decided to be clear about future statements.

La Casa Seña (although I haven't been there in, what, almost 30 years?!?)  Was so impressed I bought their cookbook, which I still have.

I haven’t really kept up with it . Hours wise from 8am to 7 pm. Today might be my record for both mileage and hours. Right now I am charging somewhere at the end of the daylight pipeline.

Just a head’s-up, the local ski area Snowbasin got ten inches of snow this morning/afternoon, and a cross-country foot race on this side of the Wasatch had to be rescued from white-out conditions.  The storms are headed to Colorado, albeit slowly.

I’m still furious with the local ABC affiliate for switching away from the last 3 minutes of the Texas/OU game, to the beginning of the la-dee-dah BYU game, so I may just rare-read this thread instead and refresh my memory, what your plans were.  Good Luck!

Wow.  I missed the post where you headed north from Albuturkey straight to Durango, and now you’re in Santa Fe; you must’ve flown thru the Rockies!  ( at least you missed the snowstorms)
