  • I am on my third jar of the Duke’s Bama since launch so I obviously enjoy it. When making bama white from scratch I skew more to pepper/horseradish flavors and don’t do the Dijon. So that’s the biggest difference. Haven’t made from scratch since buying dukes. The Bob G bama sauce is thinner like a marinade/baste and I prefer thicker like dukes. The Dukes doesn’t give you much time on the best by date but has been fine for me to go many months past.

My favorite sauce by a mile in the last several years is Midland Ghost white pepper sauce.  Discovered it at Carrol’s sausage on i75 and have mail ordered since as well.  A very nice heat and doesn’t mess up your innards. It is excellent and should be nationally revered it’s so rare and good.

@Buckwoody Egger - based on the above, I have just placed an order for the Midland Ghost white pepper sauce.  Sounds like a winner.

  • Sitting in my backyard in Colorado,  it is November 15th,  70 degrees,  watching the sunset and the birds at the feeder.  Cooking 2-1/2 pounds of bacon in the LBGE for the Mrs to use in cooking for the week.  Could not be any better than this except I forgot to bring a situational appropriate beverage.

    Mmmmm bacon.

I would have made rectifying that situation a higher priority than posting on here.  Just sayin'

Simple BBQ breasts. Rub and sauce worked well together.

My first thought was "where/how/wut....McRib?!?".  But that would be insane.

    Looks good n healthy.

Pumpkin-spice wangs.  Yeah, I went there.
I dredged half my wings in my normal dredge, then added a tsp of pumpkin pie spice to the remaining flour, mixed it up, and coated the remaining wings.  Quite an amazing aroma when I took them off the Egg, but I couldn't really taste it so much.
I've got better rubs to use in the future, but it was something I wanted to try.

@Buckwoody Egger the juice has landed at the house.  I am on the road and won't get to enjoy it til Sunday.  Every confidence in the exceptional qualities.

I will never judge a man for liking punkin spice. I, myself, enjoy a punkin spiced cold foam from Starby’s every now and then.

This picture reminded me of last night. My 18 y/o son had his girlfriend come over and that was nearly her outfit. I asked what happened to the rest of her shirt? Did some one steal it, did she accidentally shop in the kids section, what happened? I thought I sounded like I was joking. My son looked at me like I was a c***block and she went and changed her shirt.

    🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Wife was slightly annoyed with me, but what else is new?

as the father of a 17 y/o daughter, I approve of your comments.
There are many times where I will make similar comments to her and I get the same reaction from both daughter and wife.

This made me laugh, hard!   =)

For the record, I've never had a pumpkin-spiced anything before (except for pie, which I love).  I don't drink coffee.  And a man-bun might help hide my bald spot.   :)

I say the same thing to my 19 y/o. She usually just gives me the F*ck off look and keeps trucking.
