Crosscut for some perspective.

Going to try a beer can chicken AND some wings at the same time. Indirect. Hope it works.

Going to try some chicken stir fry, with yakisoba noodles. Doing it in the wok."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Sweet cook right there!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Super basic chicken pot pie, got a little frisky and added mushrooms. Hard to go wrong with chicken thighs, carrots, celery, peas, onions, mushrooms, flour, butter, salt, and pepper.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

@DoubleEgger and @Ozzie_Isaac great looking pies! We don’t like green peas so I substitute green beans and also like to add in diced potatoes along with carrots.

The tiny gifs are for everyone. Post a gif here, it’ll be small. That’s a vanilla issue or something.Canugghead said:

Great outcome right there. @JohnInCarolina what rig did the noble heavy lifting?

Creamy carrot and potato soup with roasted turkey stock. Last of the random t-left overs. Carrots had purple in there so the color is odd but taste was on point. Added a couple of fresnos stock spice it up. Topped with pepper jack and green onions. Pepper jack toast for dipping. -

Cook from last night was Sam the Cooking Guy Marry Me Chicken Tortellini. I added a bit too much flour which made the sauce a little too tight, but no raw flour taste. No pictures as I’m a horrible food photographer.XL BGE

It was very good and it has been requested again. My daughter really enjoyed the sun dried tomatoes. Sam doesn’t like them and used a roasted red pepper instead. I also used a frozen tortellini and it turned out well. I did everything in a large cast iron skillet so clean up was easy.JohnInCarolina said:

I forget that this is a BBQ forum, so making up for all those football and roundabout posts, here's last night's dinner;

Impeccable timing at the butcher counter meant I struck gold with the purchase.
I employed my preferred reverse sear technique, up to 50 C IT via the Meater and then inferno finish - hence the 'artistic' shot of flames.
Only SPG and sea salt flakes, ten minutes rest. I reckon it came out medium, with a nod towards Pittsburgh style. Or is it Chicago because of the reverse sear?
No idea what the £ / KG in to $ / lb ratio is but it was cracking value.Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay
