@alaskanassasin All kinds of things. Coasters, vases, flowerpots for the wife, fidgets for the nieces/nephews and cousins. Working in the CAD software designing a new handle for my large. Still learning at this point. Definitely a rabbit hole like @paqman said.

Here's an IU lightbox I made for my office.
Don’t know if you saw in the news, but a 3D printed hotel named ‘El Cosmico’ is being printed in Marfa, TX now.

Marfa is a really fun/interesting little town down in a oddly pretty part of West Texas.  We try to escape the heat here in the summer and go there where its a little cooler.

@paqman I’m curious about how you like them? Swmbo loves hers, but they seem heavy to me. I’m used to my Sony XM4

I never tried the Sony XM4 so I can’t really compare.  I am switching from a pair of Bose QC 35 that I’ve used for 7-8 years.

    PROS:
-Everything about the Airpods Max screams quality, they look beautiful and feel solid.
-The arms on the headband are feeling super solid.
-I was able to wear them all day without feeling uncomfortable, I was not able to do that with my pair of Bose.  No condensation problem and the headband mesh is comfortable/breathable.
-I am now heavily invested into the Apple ecosystem and the integration is impressive.
    -Battery life.
    -Transparency mode is great.
-Noise cancellation background noise feels more natural than my Bose.

    CONS:
-Cost, not sure that they are worth the price difference with other high end headphones.
-I will need to do more comparisons but I feel like the noise cancellation is not as good as my pair of Bose.
-Open case with no protection for the mesh on the headband.
-The take more space than my pair of Bose when folded for transport.
-No OFF switch, the case turns them OFF.
-Not enough bass for my taste.
-Connection to non-Apple devices is possible via bluetooth but switching between devices is not as smooth as doing it between Apple devices.

I don’t think that they are worth switching from another good pair that is still working fine but if you are due for a new pair, I definitely recommend.

got a le creuset kettle a few years back. absolutely rocks. enameled metal so I am guessing induction friendly, but we have a gas stove so I cannot say for sure. comes in 1,364 different colours.

That was the one I was looking at!  Will definitely check them out closer.  Find a nice color I can keep on the stove all the time

for me it checked all the boxes - good whistle, solid build, looks good on the stove and boils up fast. definately worth it. We got it in the cherry to match the 3 dutch ovens we have. Little too matchy matchy for my taste when all on the stove, but that is pretty rare.

I have been cooking inside exclusively with an induction burner (stand alone) and using a cheap induction tea kettle.  I am a convert.  I still have my power burners outside for woks and stuff, but for indoor cooking I don’t miss gas at all.  If you are on the fence, I say give it a go, don’t get a cheap one, get something with power and temp settings, but a good one, to me, is better than gas.

i dunno Ozzie, i *really* like my gas range, electric oven combo.  i tell people that the dual fuel lets me be on bad terms with one utility and still be able to cook :)

Dual fuels are very nice.  I still have gas outside and wouldn’t want to give that up.

I guess insurance for the business at a rate 2.5x last year's rate. I have a meeting with another agent who reps other carriers Monday. I hope he has something closer to last years premium.

    I hate this....

I feel your pain. My commercial policy is ridiculous to put it mildly.

Our prior carrier wanted 4x. The agent just couldn’t believe we were jumping ship. New carrier was ONLY 2x more. And we dropped the wind policy that they wanted a 300k deductible on (building less contents could be replaced for close to that). Commercial rates are silly

new side table for the egg. It hangs on the deck railing and folds down when not in use. Will double my work surface when cooking.

easy to lift off the railing and twist the arms flat so if I really want it put away that is easily done.

Very cool. Are you taking orders? I’d punch one in if my setup permitted it.

i didn't build it - i amazoned it.  Two weeks ago when I started looking for a cook table that would get outta the way between cooks I did not know these things existed - then I discovered they are a thing.

but if you were not looking to order a table, but looking for a supper order (ie: an invite for dinner) then absolutely let's talk. Happy to meet, greet, and eat.

Better to be lucky than good right there.  Eagle Rare for the win. Best 10yo bourbon on the planet and especially at the price point.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
