I need to know more about those TRD rims! We are averaging 16.5-17.5 on gas with SWMBO's 4R, we are still riding without step bars for now. You still happy without step bars?

That's good stuff. I have the falkens too on my tundra and have been very pleased with them. My old tundra had the 4.7 that I really enjoyed except for the gas mileage, I am sure the 4.6 is is a little more refined.

Thanks @dbCooper, swmbo drove it through corn stalks last year and I about lost it. lol  I bought it in fall of 2021 as a place holder until Broncos are readily available, though the 4 runner has won me over, other than being gutless. Right now it has maintained its value with 16,000 miles.  I was just looking at a 2020 Platinum 150 magma red.. I must be getting old.
You gonna be holding on to a Toyota for a hot minute. 2023 Bronco ordering system was open for all of 24 hours with more constraints than they’ve ever had in the prior 2 year models. Just slapped some AMP Research boards on ours. She loves it, could sell it for more than we paid for it with 12,000 miles on it

that's one helluva discount!    the weight limitation is impressive but can't imagine what you'd have to haul up that thing to hit it, but better to have and not need...

@TideEggHead I really like those rims, I didn't know it had them until the salesman sent me the window sticker.  They had several 4 runners on their website and I called skeptical that they were on the lot. Well I was right, I wanted the green one and he said it was assembled awaiting shipment to the US.   The rims remind me of the old ones for some reason.
I think it looks better with the running boards but I bypassed them so I would hit the back of my leg on them getting my pants dirty.   Swmbo is still livid that I took $500 running boards off and bolted them onto her sisters car without telling her, I said "well it was that or I was shipping them to a guy on the forum"
I have thought about getting auto running boards so I can turn them off when not needed.

They had a dark green one at the dealership (someone bailed on), I drove it and liked it but not enough to get me out of my 4runner initially.  If I could have had a couple hours in it to really dig in maybe.  The dealers were turds too, for some reason they did not want to deal with me, I held all the cards and I think that they did not like that.

Is that bookcase made of Pecky Cypress wood? I know you have made other furniture from sunken cypress - it is pretty expensive down your way? Readily available or do you have to know somebody who knows somebody?

This is in no way shape or form a virgin cook.  You have cooked many many times before.

I am still looking forward to it though.

Ron, that hall table top is previously rotten but stabilized cypress (top) and recycled cypress and broad leaf pine (heart pine).  I have some stuff made with pecky cypress.  I bought a trailer load of it maybe 17 years ago.

It’s pretty easy to find if you look around here where it is a dominant species.  It goes for around $4-15 a board foot depending on quality, age, if it’s sinker or not, etc.

I used to get most of my recycled cypress from roll-off boxes at renovations.  But I just bought a large amount from a mill shutting down.  Recycled old growth swamp cypress or sinker is some of the most beautiful wood IMO, and it’s a dream to work.

Cypress is a soft wood.  You can harden it with epoxy or resin stabilizer (I’ll just do the top of it gets abused like outside egg table).  So it develops a rustic look over time.

It is a 6.6L 3500, it does look like a smaller truck though. If I were a serious buyer and I have a bias towards Ford, that truck looks pretty darn cool.
