A silver plate. Not just a coating but an actual plate of silver. Silver is similarly conductive as copper but doesn’t require lining like copper. They make fully silver pots too but holy cow they are expensive. This cost me roughly  $800 with shipping; where those were a few thousand dollars.

Jesus. What's the max temp you can use? I know you have to be careful with the tin linings, not sure about silver.

Tin melts at just around 500°F. Silver won't melt until about 1800°F.
So he can safely boil water in that (but not on an Egg).

It's not really a concern because you don't use this as a daily driver. I bought specifically to make reductions and sauces. I won't be searing or boiling in here. It is rated for electric, gas or oven. But I don't see any other mention of temp.

Edit: they make a fry pan, so I'm sure it's fine. https://shop.soy.com.tr/collections/soy-ast-series-saute-pans/products/professional-copper-frying-pan-soy-nt-series?variant=26717870667

Edit 2:  Really trying hard to talk myself out of buying a full set of these while the dollar is so strong. This is the nicest cookware I've ever held.

They claim it distributes heat so well you don't need to stir your sauce.

It is very beautiful, but it's way too expensive for marginal gains IMO.  Definitely a luxury item, so I say go for it!

Do it!  Your beautiful kitchen deserves these pans/pots.  Really, not doing it is pretty much a sin.

Right, it won't actually help me cook better. But damn will I feel cool doing it.

  • Holy cow this thing is Heavy! And thick. Unlike any copper pot I’ve ever held. I want more…
Is it for cooking soy exclusively? 😂

Thanks for the pics. Great pot to simmer equal parts of ranch and tobasco. 😉

    Beautiful art there.

Been on the fence about buying one for the past 10 years or so, finally decided to jump:

Included a 53” front loader and 54” front snowblower (driveway is 350’ long plus another 50’ in front of the house) and got tired of using a walk behind snowblower, especially since the knee is gimpy after the replacement surgery. By the time the dealer was finished doing the walkthrough with me it was dark, so I only had time to tuck it away in the shed.

SWMBO has been visiting the grandkids (and son and daughter-in-law) in Ottawa for the past couple weeks. I am headed up in the morning to get some face time with the littles, and we are headed back Sunday.

So sadly I won’t get any seat time in my new toy until next week sometime.
Hey!  You get a 3 point post hole digger for that and you can put up a new sturdy fence to "be on!"  Have fun with it!

Just jumped into the Florida stone crab pool.  Virgin buy.  3 pound minimum shipment.  Based on the related threads, I anticipate a true banquet.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Standard Aussie.  I have 2 aussies and 2 JRTs.  The Aussies get along superb with other dogs.  The JRTs definitely rule this house.

Having 2 will help, they will keep each other entertained.

Breeder had them as well. Wanted a Merle, she only had solid black. Opted for the F1 Aussie Doodle instead. My wife smitten already

Just looked up F1 vs. F1B.  Didn't realize there were grades of doodles.  Pretty interesting.

My Aussies shed enough to cloth an entire village twice a day.

Lol. There’s so many classes now. High dollar mutts. My mini doesn’t shed too much, hoping for the same results here

You realize this is just the Illuminati getting you ready to do the same with people.  We do have alien DNA squirreled away in Cheyenne Mountain.

    This!

Our friends had theirs at our house for 24hrs and it took us probably 6 weeks to remove all the shed.     Fur in places I didn't know it could get into.

    Wonderful dogs though.

  • Looking for an F1 Labradoodle in spring of 2023. Want a more calm dog than an Aussiedoodle unless I am wrong about them. Need company for my Boxer’s last couple of years. Going to be at Dollywood Easter weekend.

Find out the lineage of the lab parent. Some hunting lines are not calm, they may not run around as much as aussies, but they can be on alert constantly.  We went from a lazy family lab to one of these.  Still a great dog, but they need a lot more work.

I might be able to deal with the energy level. But they have to be trainable and not shed.
