Does anybody make a router lift with digital readout these days?
I've seen one on EweTube, but I believe the guy designed/built the system himself (his shop was eye-popping, very creative and talented).

I've seen add-ons like this (which is only $50):

Surprised there isn't one using a servo motor and keypad/dro to raise/lower it and not have to bother with a manual wrench.
Not sure how much that would buy you, there's still no way to zero out how far into the collet you slide the bit/cutter.
I've recently been using a small set of machined bars, using them to set depths of my tablesaw blade; I'm at the point where my sense of touch is more accurate than my eyesight.   :s

Doesn't matter how far you put the bit into the collet. You can set the readout to zero at any point just like using "tare" on a digital scale.

That was my theory years ago.  Then it was: you can't just own two, then three, six, and so on.

As is always the case, just took advantage of Rockwood's 10% sale with the code "HALLOWEEN10".

I picked up a special select square back a few months ago. At least temporarily replacing my trusty old Santa Fe.

I really like those square backs, my buddy plays one.   They don’t quite suit my eye or else I would have one but man are they nice.

Yeah, quite a bit chunkier than anything I’ve used. I’m still getting used to it as I sometimes leave putts short thinking the added mass will get me there. Still got to stoke ‘em.

@Canugghead I wouldn’t even be able to venture a guess on teeth.. I hated dentals when I was in day practice. Now short of a grossly avulsed tooth in a dog fight or HBC I fortunately have nothing to do with teeth 😂

repaired knee in our practice is $4500 though

I will say costs are going up exponentially higher every quarter. Multi factored in my opinion.

One of the bigger issues that’s needed correcting for a while is technician pay. In the post Covid work world a lot of our under paid technicians have figured out they truly are valuable (which was never questioned with us on ER)

but with that value. We have had Day practices scalp our techs from under us.. and with our practice.. since it sold to corporate.. it takes weeks to months to get a “reply” on raises and they go where there is more money and better schedule which I don’t blame them.

the other issue is a lot of practices are going corporate. And we as associate veterinarians aren’t seeing the benefit. All the price increases are going to pay the lawyers in the middle

Lawyers; saving dogs & cats every day.  Glad the money is going to a good cause.

We have a corporate vet and a locally owned vet.  I use locally owned for all standard items and corporate vet for specialized things.  Sometimes it is just based on who can get my dog in the fastest.

I honestly prefer my large animal vet, but he doesn't help with standard small animal items like vaccines and chronic items.  He will help with accute and injuries and tell me what best approach is.

I’d say a solid $3-400 worth of “princess accoutrement” at the Bippity Boppity Boutique at Disney World. Thanks Mickey
  • @ColbyLang

Having just done the DisneyWorld thing in March, I feel your pain. Doesn’t take long to get that figure, with the ears alone being $40 or 50, as I recall.

Exact reason why my kids won't be going to Disney World. A basic trip is $6k
