I’m thinking about doing a half Ironman next summer and have been looking at road bikes and triathlon bikes but whoo boy are they pretty expensive.  I’ve been looking at Facebook marketplace and Craigslist for used ones, but so far nothing.  Anyone here know of a good place to buy a decent road bike?
Try JensonUSA.    They put all kinds of bikes on sale there all the time.

I used to do triathlons, raced both road and mtn bikes for 30yrs.

    Good luck and enjoy
I’ll give them a look.  Thanks!

My cousin who lives out of state had his bike wheels shipped to my parents house for an Ironman event. Just the wheels alone were over 3K. Insane. This was many years ago. I believe they were made out of carbon fiber.
Yeah, as I’ve been researching I’ve found out that prices can get crazy.  The most expensive bike I’ve seen so far is one for $15,000.  I’m trying to find one for under $1,000. Lol

Amazoid must have a new warehouse close by.
I normally drop things in my "Basket", that are odd and I can't find locally (weird tools, spices, sweats with a 38" inseam, bizarre music, etc) and then buy a bunch when the basket gets full, to minimize shipping containers; although I normally get a basket of 7 sent in 5 different packages.  At least I try.
Anyhoo, this morning I looked at my Basket, and it said 6 of the 7 items would be delivered today if I ordered within the next hour or so!  I hit "Buy Now", and sure enough they arrived about an hour ago!
    How do they do that?

I better not be peddling for something that costs $3K plus. It better have an engine between the wheels at that price point!  ;)

Damn, we just sold our bikes, had a Trek and a Carbondale...great bikes just don't ride anymore.  We have noticed a recent streak of deaths of bike riders so we decided to ride only the Peloton.

By “streak of deaths”, do you mean bikers that have been hit by motorists?  That’s making me rethink things!

For my 16 year old. I hope and pray that this one lasts longer than the last one I bought him. I bought the last one in November, he totaled it in June.
My daughter totaled her first car on Friday. It lasted her four months. Luckily, for me, she purchased it herself. We have a 09 Silverado that I bought new that my boy drives. If he wrecks that one, he is on his own with a new purchase.

In 2008 a well known pet food company had a survey done that people would change what they eat before changing their pets diet. That company also never slowed down then or through the rona

I noticed this too. We buy IAMS 15lb bags every two weeks for our dogs. May it was $19.99, June it went up to $22.99, July $24.99. A 25% increase in 60 days? Really?!?!

Yes. Dog food manufacturers use many of the same commodities as I do. Simply put, their commodity contracts expired. They’re now paying higher rates. 25% ain’t nothing considering flour is up 140% over where it was July 21
