That is pretty cool.  Could see lots of fun ways to use that, especially for presentation at parties.

Half of a new condensing unit for a glycol jacket chilling system for our mixers. Ours has an un repairable blow out in it. Yay

Gotta keep doughs cold to run at a manageable temperature. Think of a giant air conditioner outside unit that runs copper lines into a 175 gallon 50/50 propylene glycol solution tank. Pumps then circulate the cold glycol to the jackets of our mixers continuously.

My friend was asking me about pellet smokers a week or two back. I sent him this link on the Masterbuilt 580.

I saw this pop up on Marketplace for $100. I told the seller I'd buy it.

So I text my friend who's literally 2-3 miles from the sellers house and tell him I found a great deal on a smoker and I can pick it up and drop it off for him. I received a text back from my buddy and said he's going to stick with his new gas grill.

So it will get flipped after I clean it up. It comes with a $60 cover and Tel-Tru thermometer. I might switch out the thermometer and keep the Tel-Tru for a future use.

I got one of those new for $199.  It's a nice grill, but not great for grilling... smoking and baking works great.

I remember you grabbing one for that price. I should be able to get $250-$275 for it being it's early in the "grilling season". It would almost be $600 with tax and cover right now. There were two on Marketplace not too long ago that were listed at $300 and I can't find the ad now. My assumption is that they sold. I do plan to do a test cook on it and at least try it out and make sure it's in working order.

  • I bought and installed a Sense Energy monitor. It's a pretty easy install in most electric panels. Sense will over time identify most of your appliances, light bulbs and other electric powered devices and keep track of power use and consumption.

One reason I got it is that I got a 9600 watt generator at Costco and wired it up to safely backfeed my power panel when we have a big storm that knocks out power. Sort of a poor man's house generator. Anyway I wanted to know how much my fancy multi speed compressor for my AC uses as far as wattage. Looks like it will be no problem but anyway.... check out Sense and see if it makes sense for you.

@CPFC1905 - I'm guessing you were caught up in the euphoria of the Queen's invite and decided to celebrate with the above buy.  They look great but I am not worthy.  When I tried to access the linked site I was denied access.  No worries, I was not gonna buy from them anyhow.   B)

I like it. I have the same situation with the generator and transfer switch.  Mostly we lose power in the winter so I shut off the water heater breaker and operate everything else with out a problem.   Also I went dual fuel so I only run it on propane with the hope that I will never have a gummed up carb.  I would be curious how many amps the dryer pulls and water heater. I don't remember what it says on the water heater label and it seems like a lot, my transfer switch is only 30 amp

Ate dinner at a restaurant called Whiskey Cake. Saw this by the entrance. SWMBO is a candle nut, the scent is Whiskey Cream or something so win/win. They take the empty whiskey bottles and a local lady makes candles out of them.
