OT - For Car Lovers: Some Recent Exotic Spottings

 I saw a bunch of cars... But the forum was down so I didn't attempt pics.

This showed up in my driveway this afternoon:






Not really exotic you might say but it was a rental from the Avis Rental agency at Orlando International Airport. Buddy of mine flew down from Massachusetts and the rental agent told him it was all they had left. I feel real sorry he has to drive around in the thing.

The owner is a firm believer in enjoying his acquisitions without much regard for keeping them in showroom condition. It’s a different approach than I would take, but then again, my sports car spent a lot of time sitting in the garage back when I had one. 🙃

Awe man.  As a kid I loved reading about his exploits.  I wasn't alive during the golden era of LSR, but reading about it after the fact was still amazing.

Quite a ride right there.

Yes. It has to take a trip to Montreal shortly, as we don’t have a local Ferrari dealer in Ottawa. When the engine heats up, sensors seem to put it in “safe mode,” where it slows to a crawl - supposedly, in order to protect the engine. It’s going to be dealt with in the coming weeks, I think. I wouldn’t want to see the bill for that repair.

Half the crowd in this town wouldn't even notice it went into limp mode.

Lol. “Older sis” relative to the Ferrari F12. Same owner for the two. But I now see how my post was confusing. The apostrophe was meant to single the contraction of “sister”; not possessive.

Good eye and memory, but this M5 is a neighbour’s. My B-I-L did have a very recent blue M5, but he got rid of it when he acquired the (previously-pictured) GT3 late last fall.

Do you own a detailing service?  From a technical standpoint, do you have soft water for your garage water?  I had an acquaintance who had soft/heated water and multiple filters for his garage water.
