OT - What Was Your First Album You Bought/Received?
I grew up on Phil Collins/Genesis being my mom's favorite artist. So I put that on while cleaning this morning. Through recommendations of songs through YouTube I ended up in 90's rock. Temple of the Dog, Blind Melon, Alice In Chains, Blues Traveler, etc. (What a great decade of music) Through all the recommendations, it landed on the Spin Doctors. Which made me laugh as it was my first album I owned. Followed by a Spin Doctors Live album. I probably wore those CD's out as a kid.
Which made me wonder what other peoples first album might be? So what was your first album you owned?

First was Vanilla Ice. Grew up with a dad who lived for classic rock and still does. My dad definitely introduced my brothers and me to an epic genre of music we all still listen to today. But cmon man, who didn’t like Ice Ice Baby?

The soundtrack to the original Batman television show. It was 1965 I believe and I must have begged incessantly. I can’t remember the actual first one that I bought. It might have been Jim Croce’s Time in a Bottle but when I left for university my Mom said that was hers and I couldn’t take it. Another artist who died way to young.

First album I purchased with my own $$$ was I Stand Alone. -
It was either a Herman's Hermits or a Beatles album in 1966. Don't recall which one.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk

My parents gave me a Meet the Beatles! album for my birthday.
Big mistake. My sister and I drove our parents crazy by playing the album over and over and over again.

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting. The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president. -
