Why stop there? Could cease with the teeth too. And if going there, why not give up on bathing?

Would definitely help keep people at a safe distance in the stores.

I don’t think this will prove to be accurate, although there is a lot of uncertainty right now.  

If we’re able to get fast, reliable tests in place, that will allow some relaxation of the closings in various counties across the country (such as those where things look stable).  Then we will probably have a period where social distancing will need to be triggered as minor, local outbreaks are contained.  

Just my view.  I have zero expertise in this space so take it for what’s its worth.

Problem is that unless they institute mandatory testing for all (even in absence of symptoms), stealth carriers will continue to spread - likely in multiple waves. 

Like you, I am no expert.
