I just installed a baby gate to make my daughter's room a jail cell so I can get some stuff done (she's 2 and hates naps).

Fun stuff watching her try to climb it and falling :sleepy:

I have been social distancing since April 4, 2019. I had a bone marrow transplant that day. Thank you for everyone who is following the advice of those in charge of this. I am one of the highest risk groups. Be thankful this social distancing is short term. This has become my new normal, I accept it. I am finally strong enough to start egging again. Life is great, I am actually happier than I have ever been. Just wanted to say thanks.
Thanks for sharing that. It helps others to share your struggles and victories. All too often people think they are the only ones facing adversity.

  • I miss that car.

I had some toy version of it.  Would be fun to drive a Bandit clone around town.  That said, those firebirds were giant metallic turds.  I had a 67 Camaro convertible.  Primitive but at least easy to fix.
The bandit TA was my first car. T-tops, the whole thing. it had a 6cyl turbo and it had the pick-up and handling of a 1978 Lincoln Continental. Total POS but I made it look good.

My extended family is insisting on holding the family potluck a week from Saturday. We have many people in their 80’s, a couple in their 90’s , and 2 cancer patients on chemotherapy.

Good luck and be safe out there @Battleborn. Folks are going to be extra twitchy with the casinos closed.

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting.  The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president.

Send a dish, stay the hell away.  Maybe send a roll of TP as well if they’re having a crowd.
    Love you bro!

Impossible to social distance at Costco this morning. The line for paper products at the back of the store was stacked up to more than halfway to the checkout. The line for checkout was stacked up to more than halfway to the back of the store. In other words, the lines met, facing the opposite direction.

Most people, including us, were wearing gloves. Very little talking but there was no panic. Creepy.

(Tried to go to Costco yesterday but couldn't find a place to park.)

@1voyager: Panic buying is scary. I get why people are motivated to wear gloves, but I doubt it is very effective. Eventually, the gloves themselves become contaminated. The reason hand hygiene is important is because we are always touching our own faces. I tend to think this is true whether or not we’re wearing gloves. Hand washing is the best defence.

Considering that over 40% of the city is now unemployed, things are bound to get crazy. There was zero foot traffic on The Strip last night. Violent crime is bound to go up. My hope is we can do enough to curb it. Stay safe out there friends.

Yep I live in a casino area also. The state shut down all casinos as of Monday night(of this week) . Many thousand unemployed now. Most restaurants closed though some do delivery, take away , or drive through. The pizza place that I got a to go yesterday had no other customers. Our idiot health officials let 2 French employees off of a docked cruise ship. They took an Uber to the airport. Our initial case was from a woman who went on a Disney cruise.
