So there is a number ending in 00 and one in 08, I assumed the 08 was the campground and left a message there ...is the 00 the correct one, sounded more like the park concessions
I called this one and someone picked up first thing. Sometimes it takes a bit as they're out doing other chores.

    Cabin 6 is reserved!
You have mates staying with you?
As of the moment, Adam May be accommodated by his spouse in a camper and, as usual, Henry is old and undecided.

    news to follow

Who has to call Henry this time? I can send neuds if that's what it takes. They're of me but they're neudes.
I still have Henrys phone number

April 13 - will there be someone on location to help with last minute taxes?
My better half is the tax expert. We own 3 tax offices but I don’t do taxes  =).

She had a great time last year which may help to get her out of the offices and up to Salisbury!
I'm /we are a Saudi Prince. Can you do your taxes? Oh yeah, too much wine tonitght tonignt.
Just preserving this for later, this is gold.
I really wish there was a do-over button!  In any case no wine tonight!

Doesn't really make sense does it?  Especially since I could just about throw a rock to Johns Creek!  We should grab a bite one day soon......maybe get @bgebrent and @DoubleEgger on board as well.

This could be a last minute decision. Given the one week earlier date....it will be close on peanuts. If I am successful in landing some.....his old slow self will be there.

RVshare.com worked for me last year.  Paid an extra $100, they dropped it off and picked it up.  very easy.

Look at RVShare.com. They’ll come set it up for you. You don’t have to touch a thing. A bunch of folks there rent through that website. @tarheelmatt @YukonRon, @JRWhitee

For those staying a extra day, Seagrove is a great place to visit. It’s about an hour away. It’s the largest concentration of potters in the US. I’ve bought some great pieces that I use on the egg.

I have done it the last couple of years, and it really is nice not having to drive or leave at 8:00 when the park closes.

My rental, is 138.00/night, 150 delivery and pick up fee, 500.00 security deposit, which is refunded immediately after pick up, plus miscelaneous dump fees and gas usage.

If you get a sight that has utility hookups, you will not have to pay the excess charge for a generator. All things considered, for about 600.00, it is not a bad deal.

Except of course, having flags stolen, and putting up with BGE folks the whole time.

Matt turned me on to this method, and It has been great. The first BB, we stayed in a VRBO cabin on the lake, and it was very nice, but we had to drive and having to do so, we had to quit early, missing valuable time with friends we do not get to see that often.

It is so much more fun to be on sight with all our folks with the BGE. It is worth it. Much easier to cook and store the libations.

There will be libations. Bring your tumblers, and careful with the straws. I am thinking several of the camp sights are already booked as well, along with the RV sights, and the cabins.

Great tent camping there as well. There are some very nice spots to be had.

As far as campground facilities, not great.....but certainly not bad either. I have seen way worse, even at our national parks.

Let’s stay away from that rabbit hole. The condition of our national parks is atrocious.

Almost forgot, I think the three nights space rental with water and electricity was less than 85.00, if I remember correctly.

They're close to camp-like facilities.  Not the Shangri-La by any stretch, but I really don't know what people expect given how cheap everything is.

  • Maybe those of us who grew up spending summers at Y-camps are better equipped to deal with “rustic” facilities and cabins, I don’t know.
