Save The Date: Butt Blast 2019

Just a quick note to unofficially announce that Butt Blast IV will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019.  The location is the same as it's always been, at Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury, NC.

Matt will have another thread up at some point with additional details.  We're hoping to really blow it out this year, and hope those of you who haven't been able to make it to one of these will turn out in the spring.

There will once again be live entertainment at the Butt Blast.  The Gravy Boys out of Durham have been booked to play for us on that Saturday.  Check out some of their videos online.

I’m pretty sure we’ll be there.

This time we won’t make the mistake of staying at least an extra day.

And be sure to warn Kitty at the park well in advance too. I’m not sure she was prepared for the egghead onslaught :)

Awesome!  I think your partner in carcasses - @20stone - said he and his lovely bride might try to make it down to this one as well.  I guess I'd better start tracking down some blowtorches.

Question: are all the cabins in a central area? Are some closer to the action? I just have to be able to crawl back to it  B)

They are all in about the same area.  I don't *think* you can reserve them yet, but you can always give the campground a call and try.  I know we won't be able to officially reserve the shelter for some time.

They are all in a row centralized at the campground. This is kind of what it looks like.

Hopefully my cabin won't get bed bugs this year.  I liked the tent enough that I'll just go that route again.

Nice!  I will say that if you can at all manage to stay on site, that's the way to go for this.  The late night festivities are too good to pass up.  You never know what kind of adult beverages will make an appearance, or when @DMW and @nolaegghead will start their pyrotechnics.

Was their live entertainment (outside of the attendees) at last year's Butt Blast?

Oh , I will be staying on site. SWMBO doesn't do the camping thing, so we will exercise both options. If the entertainment's that good she will change her mind and tough it out.

We’ve just had some casual stuff.   I think Henrik (Nola’s friend) had a guitar out at some point.  This year will be quite a bit different.

I think @Killit_and_Grillit played the spoons for a while before he went to spoon with @Possumtrot and @The_Stache in their cabin.

Since we are local we will be coming in on Saturday morning.  I actually bought the mini max with the thought of cooking at BB.  Cindy and I will be there early Saturday morning.  Kind of alread kicking around what we may cook.    Thinking green lighting shrimp and others?
