Picked up the 10/22 Takedown on Friday.

Also ordered some parts from Tandemkross (they're in NH, so I'll get the stuff pretty fast). Their trigger group set, including their trigger, charging handle replacement, item to make it easier to drop the bolt (one handed) and extended mag release. I'm going to see how I like the factory stock, before deciding if I want to replace it with the backpack version from Magpul.
Factory triggers on the Ruger 22LR firearms isn't even close to what I'd call good, or usable. But, it's easy to get much better triggers (from Tandemkross especially) to make them MUCH better. As in around a 2# trigger once you're done.
10# (or above) triggers are just stupid IMO. Hell, anything above 5# on any of my firearms gets replaced quickly. Well, except for the muzzle loader I was gifted since there's no way to replace that setup. One of the reasons I've not taken that out to shoot yet. Just placed an order for more Cerakote colors... The ones I have now were bought about a year ago. I haven't even opened them, but have noticed the content level has reduced on at least one of them. They say to use within a year of creation, which these are about that point. So, new order placed. Since I'm off for the next two weeks, I should have time to actually apply the color to what needs it before that's over.
Getting ready to order an AR9 80% lower too.

Well, didn't buy but a "Mystery Box" from my brother. He didn't know which knife it was.

Nice! Murray Carter is the real deal when it comes to Japanese knives. The knives that he and his apprentices make (the Muteki line) are fantastic.nolaegghead said:Well, didn't buy but a "Mystery Box" from my brother. He didn't know which knife it was.

He just started a joint venture with Spyderco a few months ago that will have a few styles of knives at a pretty reasonable price point.

@nolaegghead: Didn’t know they made kitchen knives. Love Nakiris. Far less chance of accidentally stabbing oneself. Me thinks your brother is a keeper.

Anyone need a last minute gift?....

-
The knives in that line are technically not made by Spyderco or Carter. They are made in Japan by a manufacturer that makes the knives to Carter's design and Spyderco's specs.GrateEggspectations said:@nolaegghead: Didn’t know they made kitchen knives. Love Nakiris. You only use three knives if you only have three good ones. Plan to get to Williams-Sonoma in the next few days to pick up a 6" chef knife. Planning either the Shun Kaji or Premier line. I love the Kaji slicer I have, so I'm leaning more towards that line.Large BGE with CGS Woo Ring, stone with stainless pan, Smokeware chimney cap, Kick Ash basket and Kick Ash can.Living free in the 603 (Pelham). -
Leupold Mark 5 HD for the new 6.5 CM gas gun. Of course I gotta buy new rings too because they had to go and make a 35mm tube. Good thing the scope was on sale!
