My theory...

If it tastes good, its not good for you, if it is good for you it doesn't taste good.

that being said, beer is my poison!  Been doing good so far this year, no week day beers, but its hockey tournament weekend and the beer is GOOD!

@ColtsFan @SemolinaPilchard thanks, I’ve seen those but never tried one.  We use a glass microwave popper that works well, but now I guess I need one of these.  Will be on the lookout for it.

Luckily, I am not generally too tempted by junk food, but in those moments when I am.... salt and vinegar chips. None of those kettle variety; give me plain old Lays or a close approximation any day!

People do not consider them junk food, because they arn’t, but I eat cucumbers like they are. Give me a cucumber and salt shaker, and I can eat a bushel. 
Otherwise simple buttered popcorn, or my real guilty pleasure: dove dark chocolate with a glass of port in the evening.

My dinner hat trick for when my wife is out of town:

Go to Sonic for a large order of tater tots.

Eat them while driving to Long John Silvers to get 4 fish filets.

Eat the fish while driving to Krispy Kreme where I go into the store because they give me a free doughnut to add to the dozen that I buy and eat.  Because, you know, 12 just isn't enough.

@Foghorn that May be the best post in this thread. “When my wife is out of town...”.  My buddy’s dad had a similar routine when we were in college.  He didn’t expect us to stop in, and when we walked inside from the garage he was standing at the kitchen island with Long John silvers and McDonalds bags.  His eyes got really big and the first thing he said to his son was “Your Mom isn’t with you, is she?”
