@fishlessman - that brings back memories of a few decades ago while in Italy. Only version I found over there was the clear and dang it was good.  I have managed to throttle back in the ensuing years but I know where you are coming from.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

My dinner hat trick for when my wife is out of town:

Go to Sonic for a large order of tater tots.

Eat them while driving to Long John Silvers to get 4 fish filets.

Eat the fish while driving to Krispy Kreme where I go into the store because they give me a free doughnut to add to the dozen that I buy and eat.  Because, you know, 12 just isn't enough.

    I love how there’s a standard protocol.
The key is that everything is consumed while it’s hot.  Otherwise, why bother?
I have a friend who eats leftover fast food.  I am thinking about an intervention.
@kl8ton I'm guilty of this as well. I'll take it for my morning break (breakfast) the next day. It's edible. Barely!

I can remember some of my students when I was teaching up in Saratoga would make what they called Big Mac casseroles. They would buy extra burgers and put them in the fridge for a day or so. Chop them up and put in a dish, pour over a beer and cover with ketchup. Bake until hot. They swore buy them.

Bacon... on everything! Big fan of those keebler cookies with double stuffed fudge. For me, road trips are just not complete without a few bags of krispy kreme crullers. Also a big fan of a good bag of kettle chips!

Not a big junk food eater.  Never really been into sweets either.  But I can crush a bag of Bold Chex Mix or Kitchen Cooked chips.

Oreos - I do the grocery shopping so I can stay away from them - otherwise my wife would be bringing them home just for me.

  • Just back from a long MLK weekend in Las Vegas.  Sunday night (morning) at 12:30, my buddy showed up to my black jack table at the Linq with an In-N-Out animal style for me.  I was on a serious heater, but finished the shoe and left the table to demolish that burger.  Can't get them out here, which I'm sure makes them taste even better.

Sometimes when I go to the grocery store, I stop by the deli counter and get a serving of fried okra. I eat the evidence on the way home from the store...

I had to quit buying those because once I popped open the can there was just no way I wouldn't empty the can in one sitting.
