this was quick, easy, and good. Done on a Blackstone griddle but could be done easily on a bge wok setup.
Recipe called for flank but HEB had Prime1 NY Strip on sale for $10.99. Got 2 fat prime strips, semi froze them and sliced thin on the slicer.
Recipe (I doubled it and so glad I did)
1lb steak of your choice
Marinade (per lb of steak)
5 tbsp soy sauce
2.5 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
1Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
2 Tbsp sesame seeds
2Tbsp minced garlic
1/4 cup thin sliced green onion
whisk with anger to emulsfy and
mix in sugar.
Marinate steak for 1-24 hours (I did 2 and it was awesome)
get your cook surface screaming hot with a little oil and dump all the meat and marinade on that.
cook until crispy
We served as lettuce wraps with a little sushi rice, chili paste and miso ginger salad dressing. I’ll post the recipe for the dressing shortly.
enjoy

Love Asian/Korean food. We have all ingredients in the pantry. It does benefit from some acid. Good stuff MF.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

I’m digging how you pulled it together as a lettuce wrap.
Taking a page from the @20stone play book, I think we made bulgogi at an eggfest. The marinade was good, but I like the sound of the wrap with the miso ginger dressing.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

We make this in a regular rotation- try adding some Asian pear to the marinade if you want to add to the sweetness
Definitely stealing the lettuce wrap idea-Greensboro, NC -
Nice, kind of similar to the char siu recipe I use. I'm thinking few dashes of Red Boat may kick it up another notch.canuckland

I like this recipe...

Did it in Traeger this Christmas eve... (I used shoulder butt and overcooked deliberately)
