Survival tip:  Don't create a wake in front of a cajun camp.  They are well armed.

I talked to a buddy of mine in Katy today. He's trapped at home but safe and dry. His wife was up in DFW area when the storm hit and she can't get home. He's bored and running low on beer. He has placed an AR in every room and has been picking out sight lines for looters out of every window. He sounded way too excited about this part. I would rather swim with Crocs than be a looter in TX.

That'd stand up in Florida as long as you say "I felt threatened" - not sure about Texas.

The Astros are playing "Home" series against the Rangers and Mets in tampa Bay at Tropicana Field the rest of the week.  I hope I can make it out there for some games.

Gary is in or around Dripping Springs outside of Austin.  He's in the hill country so I imagine he's fine.

Gary lives in Austin now.  Have not heard from him for a while.  His house is high enough to stay dry.

I think in the Austin area, it would be good to start gathering extra clothes, housewares, linens, etc.  Austin (and other cities) are going to end up hosting a lot of displaced people and they will need stuff.  And winter is coming.

Took two full bags of sock, jeans and t shirts to Salvation Army this morning.....less we have to pack for our upcoming move.

I simply wanted a link that told about how Joe Horn shot two thieves in Texas that were not putting him in danger, and the law said he was justified. All the stuff after that part is irrelevant to me. Seriously though, what do you not understand. An honest question.

He (Joe Horn) said the guys came into the front yard and he felt threatened.  You need a telescope to see people 500 yards away so....I don't understand how this is any kind of precedent.   That is my honest answer.
