Although in all fairness, they did tell the current administration Flynn was compromised when they found out about it.
I thought all this Russia stuff was just FAKE NEWS.
His paranoid use of social media is a very revealing, and extremely unsettling image of anything but the most powerful leader in the free world. He is just a few steps away from a bunker mentality, he is unstable, at best.
I think he knows how "over his head" he is. I am sure the rest of the world realizes it as well.

@jethrova, @eoin, presumably "endemic unemployment" means "higher than it should be", since every country has a positive unemployment rate, and France's is hardly third-world level? Eoin, which 'Right' are you talking about?
France had very low unemployment previously, with all of the same employment rules. How could that be?
Maybe forced austerity and no control over their money has had some effect?
The UK has been great at creating jobs because of flexible regulations, but a lot of those jobs are low paid and with poor security. It is so very easy to set up and run a business in the UK.
The hard part is achieving good employment rates and good quality jobs. -

@eoin, again, please explain how France could have an overall unemployment rate of 4.9% in 2008 with the same/stronger employment rules. That doesn't seem so high compared to ours, which was just over 4% at the same time. Also, as of 4Q2016, France had a higher rate of 'prime age' workers employed than the US, where we can fire 'em at will.

@nolaegghead I can do opinion too. Here's one I share with that author: Germany calls the shots in the EU, and France must enforce austerity policies, ensuring no increased demand in their economy since the crash. Also, they can't devalue their currency, driving up demand for their exports. Both of these have orders of magnitude larger effects than employment rules. Hmmm, where else have we seen that... (hint, here). Not all of those supporting Brexit were plain old racists. Again, they employ more 'prime-age (25-54)' workers than we do. Prime age is important because in France college kids don't have to work, and old folks get much better benefits, causing those unemployment numbers to be very high relative to ours, skewing their overall numbers. Minus the college kids and retirees, it ain't nearly as bad as it's made out to be.

Forum members best not post any more turgid members on my thread. They will be met with fire, fury and frankly power the likes of which this world has never seen before.
