Isn't the plan that we don't tell our enemies what we're going to do ahead of time?
I think the objective here was to destroy runways and not kill Russians. Who knows... I'm not a military strategist nor did I stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Nothing is real - everyone disagrees about everything - no common shared truth in anything. Behind the scene competing interests using every event and opportunity to twist what actually happened into somehow supporting their position.

It's Friday, I'm going to try and take the weekend off and not watch any news till Monday.

Or, of course, this could be made up BS.  Fake News.  They seem to be pretty good at that these days.
yep, amazing how fast the liberal media had that story up

So  . . . Our President had an emotional reaction to something he saw on television and responded in 140 missiles or less?

    Lol.  Perfect take on this.

Well, it didn't take long for the proof to come along.

Not missing anything, he's a jackass and has been one for a while.  This was just stunning even coming from his mouth.  New low, finding new ways to hold the spotlight.  The question is, if you're an NBA GM, how do you evaluate all of this in total when trying to make a draft decision? You can't just assume it will be fine once the kid gets into your organization.  Tiger, Williams sisters, etc, most of these stories are around individual performer sports.  This has locker room impact.

The objective was to stop Syria from dropping more CW on innocent civilians.  I have no idea if this action will accomplish that, but I hope that it does.  I'd like to think that is something we can all agree on.

It's amusing that the Liberal Calvary is glossing over Hillary saying she would have done the same thing.... before Trump did it.

Agree.  We'll have to see what the impact is.  The action alone can be more meaningful than taking out x number of planes or whatever.  He just said to everyone, I'll shoot when I feel I need to.

The 'liberal cavalry' doesn't always agree with every stance that HRC has, believe it or not. Just because someone voted for someone does not mean they agree with every thing they say or do.

And for christs sake, they warned the damn Russians before the attack.  So reports of Syrians moving things prior to attack are probably not so far off.

"Hey comrades, just a heads up that for appearances we will be sending a few dozen tomahawks in a few hours - make sure everything of importance is moved!"

No, I am saying that this whole thing is a sham.  DJT et al notified the Russians, who in turn notified the Syrians, who were able to get equipment and personnel out of there in time. Thus making the whole attack a charade.

Nobody is bothered by the fact that the US, through Saudi Arabia, is providing ammunition and weapons to ISIS, who videoed the beheading of a 12 year old boy?
ISIS has a loose coalition with the rebels, and Al Qeda is also doing the same thing. AQ has fighters there from the same town as the Boston pressure cooker bombers.

it is more a statement than a charade in my eyes, trying to avoid an act of war.  i would suspect theres more to follow down the road like maybe syria has to stop flying their planes in certain areas, we shall see, that will be more political

Probably has something to do with so few of them expressing public disagreement with his policies.

I do find the "well Hillary said!" rebuttals fairly weak sauce.  Either Trump's actions are defensible on the merits, or... they're not.

But it is fairly comical to bring up what she said at the time, because candidate Trump was advocating for something completely different.  He was basically advocating for a non-interventionist stance, and that instead of focusing on Syria, we focus solely on ISIS.

I think the point is that everyone knows you would not be ranting about any of this if there were someone else with a D after their name sitting in the seat. Truth.

It is not to make any argument either for or against. It is to point out blatant hypocrisy, over and over.

There aren't any arguments of merit in either direction posted here. For some reason, certain folks feel one side always has to provide a 600 word argument with sourcing in order to comment, but it is fine to throw bombs the other direction.

Carry on with the "strong sauce"
