Tyler just sent along a couple of in progress build photos. I am so stoked to see this in person next Saturday, and hopefully having it at Smoke On The Shores will generate at least a few sales for the outstanding folks st SF.

Not yet completed (or at least not shown in the photos) are the SS shelf in front of the chamber and warmer, a SS table top with grease trough on top of the storage box for pig picking, and a davit/winch assembly to allow a single person to maneuver a large hog from the SS shelf to the SS table.

Can't wait.

What a rig-most excellent.  That's quite a set-up-even more impressive in real life. I'm sure as the pick-up date draws closer the anticipation greatly increases.  How long can you go with no sleep???   ;)

@lousubcap How long did ORSE last, including the midwatch, field day, and maneuvering watch prior to picking up the team, maneuvering watch after, bring on shore power and shutdown, then have the duty following? About that long.

Picking it up next Saturday at the Smoke On The Shores event in Nashville. Allows the SF boys to use it as advertising at the event, and saves me 6 hours total drive time. Win-win.

@CTMike - Roger all, but all that was a young man's game.  Actually got more down-time with the ORSE than the TRE.
    Submarines once-
BTW- you should inquire about a discount for the Smoke on Shores corporate advertising.

Yah, it would've been nice to meet up and pay up the Woodford DO I lost to you. Another time.

@lousubcap It was actually my idea to pick it up there, saves me 6 hours of driving at 11 mpg without towing anything.

Thanks Brandon. According to Tyler it is 21' 5" with the tongue removed. Thankfully the garage is 6' deep - should just fit.

I will post, but sadly when I get home with it next Sunday I will only have time to put it in the garage. I have to leave for Boston Monday morning as my son and I are headed to Patagonia Tuesday to go hiking for 10 days. I'm sure that will be the longest 10 days of my life.

That is what I told my wife prior to the purchase of each of the three Eggs, but even she knows they won't feed an army. I am hosting a break-in BBQ for at least 150 people in early June, then catering a wedding for 100 people 2 weeks later.  Plan is to make this thing pay its own way doing side gigs on my days off.

Wowsers! I'm guessing your tow vehicle is something like this:

Nah, just a 7 year old underpowered F-250 Super Duty with the 5.4L. But she'll get the job done. Tyler is estimating 3,000# or so, but I am thinking it will be a bit heavier than that.

Thanks Brandon. According to Tyler it is 21' 5" with the tongue removed. Thankfully the garage is 6' deep - should just fit.
I hate to tell you, but if your garage is only 6' deep, it will not fit. ;)
