Reunification
The forum has been more divisive than a few years ago and less instructive. I'll be first to admit I've participated in the political posts. Michael called it out. How bout we refocus on cooking and egging so as to make this website great again. It's great because we're all different and can cook up some amazing ****. The political crap really serves no one. Kumbaya. I know I'm now banned.

Even if I disagreed with your politics I would still recognize you as a good person. The chances we all agree on politics/religion/whatever = 0

I'll never start another political thread on this forum. How you like those apples?"I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

I've never started a political thread and I rarely post on them, so I have no problem with them going away.
But I must say I find them educational at times as I - as a centrist who votes about 70% republican - navigate the waters between my conservative coworkers and my liberal in-laws.XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

I value your political insight. I may be the only one, but I will miss it should you actually follow through with your threat. I am thinking you would spontaneously combust, should you not post a political point again."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

But I appreciate the sentiment. On the rare occasion when there's good discussion of the politics, I appreciate the give and take as well."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike -
The latest political thread got buffaloed as I was reading to catch up on the late night festivities. I gotta admit that I find the left-turn threads entertaining. This hug 'em and love 'em discussion surfaces periodically. Fortunately after a brief period of reflection and adult beverages the old world order is restored.
Skip the hot button threads if that's your preference. As active as this forum is you can only solve lump, fat cap, lighting and a host of other cooking related questions so many times. Have a great weekend.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -

All the politics has benefitted me as I find the forum completely boring and get a lot more done at work.

@DoubleEgger That would definitely apply to a left or right sided brisket and expand from there.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I've never really understood the bitching. I'm more sympathetic to the argument that the conversations have just grown stale."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike -
You are right. I've been steering clear of them unless the title tricked me into clicking on it. I stand by my previous statement that this forum sucks lately. I know that I'm not alone in my sentiment.

Wait! This cooking forum has threads that are politically based? Say it ain't so!
Hey John @johnincarolina & Brent @bgebrent I'll stop using emojis 100% if the political AND CHRISTIAN (& other religion) BASHING THREADS & innuendos cease to exist. So ummm yeah, pretty sure I'll be safe to leave this here.
