I've got the 30. I love it. When I first got it I was a little worried about how stiff the zipper was but after pulling on it for a while and general use it has loosened up quite a bit. I use it almost daily in the summer and it still looks brand new.

Have a 30 and really like it.  Works great.

Ask @The Cen-Tex Smoker he hates his with a passion.

I chose to go with a Polar Bear soft side based on some comments on here (about as good, 1/4 the price).  I love it.

Have the 20. I love it. Glad I got that instead of the 30. Coffee in the am, and cool drinks throughout the rest of the day.

I have never tried the Hoppers my friend. However I really do love the Yeti 50 and Yeti 105 hard coolers. The extra depth puts these two over the top in my book. Now that I said that, someone will probably sing Yetiland to me ;)

I have the 6, 12 and 24 of the Polar Bear and they are great. In fact I gave a few away as Christmas gifts. Once or twice a year they have great pricing on one of their lines. I'm in for a few more if the right ones go on sale!

Yep, got the 30 and there is nothing better for carrying out to the beach in the summer.  Its heavy but the shoulder strap is padded and very comfortable.  Much easier to move around then the hard side coolers.  Perfect to carry on the boat as well if there are just a 2-3 people.

Another vote for the Polar Bear.  My buddy has the hopper and we did an informal head to head comparison.  It was very unscientific and uncontrolled...but basically by the end of the day he was pissed his $300 hopper had no ice and I was happy my $40 polar beard did .

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

  • I have the 30. Plenty of room for beer and sammies.

I have the 30, and have carried a ton of meat in it as a carry on when flying.  I'm a big fan.

As for @The Cen-Tex Smoker, I think he got his for free, so I don't know what he has to whine about.

All the more reason to listen to his opinion.  He has no "skin" in the game so know reason to justify his purchase.

Plus, he gets a pass in my book since he turned me on to the sweet brisket knife.
