Never met the man but seems like I know him. Got the Seal of Approval to prove it.
He's a good egg in my book.

Other than his politics, he's a keeper. Great advice and great sense of humor.

Also, I like the younger version of @SGH better than the 83 year old version.

    1) I bought the knives he recommended.

    2) Receiving the SGH Double Seal of Approval is one of the highlights of my life.

So I guess I am forced to agree with the premise of this thread.

There are many talented and helpful folks on this forum and I learn something new every time I check out the threads, but Scottie has been an inspiration every time he posts. Always willing to help someone and posting great cooks. It takes time and effort to help as many folks as he has and he goes above and beyond to make sure no one is left that needs help. A true asset to this group. Thanks Scottie!

Sadly, B-Rent has never received an SOA from Scottie.  If you have viewed any of B-Rent's posts/cooks, you'd know why.

In the few months I have watched this forum since purchasing my egg I have tried some of @SGHs post and I have improved my cooking a lot.  My family still talks about the Tater Tot dish that we copied back in Dec.
