    I thinking of spreading this mix out over a sheet of pastry dough about 1/4" thick, then rolling the dough up into a spiral log, cooking, then cutting into into 1/2" slices.  Like a redneck Wellington of some sort.

    If you do it, let me know how it turns out. I honestly don’t see why it wouldn’t work like a charm.

    Brother Double, glad that you enjoyed it. It’s one of those things that is so simple that it’s hard to believe that it is as good as it is. 
    It’s honest to goodness one of my very favorites. I have a couple of different versions that I’m going to post when time allows. They are simple and just as good.

    I have no doubt that it will be great. I have several different versions of this recipe and they are all equally good. Just slightly different but still outstanding.
