We just dropped off a crate of new and used liquor left over from the festivities to the crowd of people who hang out under a tree on the median of one of the main drags between our house and the bridge. Unfortunately the one guy that grabbed the crate was a selfish a- hole who announced that he's going to sell it. Oh well.

That is unfortunate. It's sad that a good will gesture by a few, is taken by some, as an opportunity to reap rewards. Giving seems like the moral way, but maybe not always best. 
It's hard to break the cycle.

Thanks for the pics guys. Looks like an awesome time and some really good eats. Hopefully I'll be able to swing it next year if it comes to fruition.

Wow, what a weekend.  You folks sure know how to have a good time.  Spent our honeymoon in NOLA, sure would be nice to come back and take that party too.

It feels weird to be home with no meat smoking. After competing last weekend and Brisket Camp this weekend I just wish I had another smoked meat festival planned for next weekend!

It is unusual for him not to say something.  His last post was an itenarary that had him with a 20 hr eta.   Hope all is well.

That pit, as @Thatgrimguy said, is part of what made this gathering an EPIC one. And his beef ribs, and Chris' awesome bread, and @eggcelsior's pit beef...and... And... I'm out of functioning neurons after cleaning and moving stuff out of the venue all day. Oh, and now all of it is HERE for me to deal with. Going to have a filthy dirty martini and contemplate the plan for tomorrow.
