Brother I didn't have much time at all to put that together due to work. I got home on Fathers Day and bought those items the very next day. If time would have allowed there was a couple of other items I would have included as well. The Mahaleb Cherry wood came from my property just this side of Mobile Alabama. Not where I live in Saucier. I find that it burns cleaner than Mazzard and other common strains of cherry. I do hope that enjoy it my friend. Let me know what you think of the Mahaleb. If you like it and are ever passing through, I can load you up.

I know I can't be the only one thinking about the time @SGH went MIA. I can't help but wonder how this would of turned out back then.

Brother that stuff you dropped off at my house was some fine grub without question or doubt.  I think you may be under estimating yourself my friend.

Shane, I look at this like a bonus at work. They didn't have to give me anything.

Admittedly, I've definitely been topped already on the giving end, but whatever I receive is better than what I would have gotten without participating.

Love the box of salt @SGH

Isn't that John Lewis' secret rub?
    Love you bro!
  • @SGH did you get the butcher block seasoning from the butcher block in wiggins?  Good job on all the pecan house stuff. My wife loves it in there.

@mwatts , glad you like it, of course Ca isn't famous for bbq, or rubs really, so I figured I'd send what we are good at! Glad the wine, and roaster made it in one piece.

Wine and roaster, very cool, Gilmore garlic, none better. If you love Garlic as much as I, turn your prayer rugs towards Gilmore!

Ahhh, all that looks so nice next to the blue egg!

Glad everything made it safe and that the first cook was a good one.   I'm finding my kids are the same way.  You just have to teach them that "spicy" isn't a bad word!  They'll say they don't like it and then eat it anyway...

FYI, I did a cook with that green chili powder this week.  Posted it here;)  That stuff is NOT spicy despite the word "hot" on the label.  ?

Enjoy and glad it was appreciated.  Still feels inferior compared to some of these posts, but I appreciate the kind words.
No way!!  Don't sell yourself short @KiterTodd!  You sent an amazing box!

Funny thing about that green chili powder.  Melissa's from Hatch brought their chiles to Cleveland last year for roasting events around town.  I bought a cookbook and a case of Hatch Chiles!  Only thing I didn't buy was that chile powder and was kicking myself after for not getting it.  I'll be digging into that sooner than later.  Here's a pic of them roasting my case.  Soooo looking forward to using some!!

Your going to like the Three Little Pigs sauce.  If you are on Facebook you can fallow Chris Marks who makes and sells the sauce and rubs.  I have taken a few BBQ classes from him.  Not sure if he gets over to Kentucky much for classes, but you could ask and see.

Got my package 2 days ago, yeah I know I should have posted already but please forgive me I really have been busy. I'm not going to lie @smokinpig sent me was WAY above what I would have expected from anyone. Thank you so much! I love the fact you sent the Vidalia onions as I love them even eating them raw. I am looking forward to trying everything you sent as I have not tried anything in the package except for the Rockwood. Oh yeah a bag of Rockwood was also included.
@badinfluence so happy it all arrived intact. The onions were a last minute decision and sounds like I made a excellent choice. I hope you enjoy it all, no worries on the delay that food truck launch is far more important.

@badinfluence growing up in NE my Grandfather (born in GA) loved when Vidalia's were in season and would show up at our little grocery store. I can remember him eating them sometimes like an apple. Best onion out there imo.

@dldawes1 I hope you enjoy it half as much as I enjoyed putting it all together for you. Putting together a New England BBQ package wasn't the easiest thing to do but it sure was a heck of a lot of fun.

Please let me know what you think of that Pomegranate/red bell pepper rub. I almost passed out cold in middle of the store when I read that label. Who knew?!?

The Three Little Pigs sauces were the only things that went into my package that weren't from New England or an area that I have lived in. I just like them so much I figured what the heck, tossed them in too and crossed my fingers that he hadn't tried them yet.

Awesome brother, awesome. I am lost for words. I know from my experience here on the forum for 1-1/2 years and from our last exchange that as a group we always try to give more than we receive but I will be very challenged to consider my contribution to my partner as good as what you have sent to me.

I love it all. I've read through the labels several times already....Thanks again !!

How is that Secret Aardvark sauce, @dldawes1?   I see that around and have been tempted to try it.  What do you use it on?

@KiterTodd The aardvark was the first thing that I put in my package to Donnie. It is my secret weapon.... seriously I use it almost every day. It's got such a unique flavor profile and good heat to it as well. It's very tasty on any sort of food you can imagine but is also PHENOMINAL as a sandwich spread if you mix a few drops with some mayo. Slap some of that aardvark mayo on a toasted bun with a burger covered in pepper jack cheese and a green chili pepper and you are in for a treat my friend. I even use it as a binder for rub on ribs that I want to be on the spicy side.

I moved back to Massachusetts from Portland OR 3 years ago and now get the aardvark shipped to me in bulk packages of 10 bottles because I can't buy it by the bottle around here. Needless to say, I'm a fan. Pick up a bottle, you won't be sorry.

Be be sure to get the original variety though.... The other kinds arent any good aside from as marinades.
