The rains, flooding, and tornados are taking a toll on our Midwestern eggheads. Keep them and all of the non-eggers in your thoughts and prayers as they deal with this nasty weather.

A previous hat of mine was in meteorology....  Looking at some of the winds and patterns over the past few days and weeks have been frightening.

You all hunker down out there and be safe!

It's sunny for the first time in almost 3 weeks but 5 inches of rain expected tomorrow. oh boy. We still need the rain but hope it falls in the right places or some people are going to be in real trouble.

I'm one of the guys who needs the water but I don't want anyone to get hurt or displaced to get it. Seems to be that is how it is down here though. Flood or famine. A week ago everyone down here would be dancing in the streets if we heard we were getting 5 inches of rain.

We were at a grad party last night outside of town. It had been raining lightly most of the afternoon, then it hit the fan, wind, lightning, raining sideways.  We had to stay put for a couple of hours before it settled down enough to drive.  Everything is saturated today, I'm sure it won't take much rain overnight for the flooding to start again.
    Love you bro!

Depending on where you are, you might get ready to look for high ground, the interior of BC got hammered today, Cache Creek declared a state of emergency due to flash flooding that closed the TransCanaada highway - it is heading east. Lots of lightning but no twisters like the folks in Texas and Oklahoma. Hope everyone is OK.

Thank You Double Egger.  As Cen-Tex said today was a beautiful crystal clear blue sky day.  Storm went thru last night more rain and some high winds, although on top of the hill winds are always pretty good.  I have not had to worry about using the large for almost three weeks...It is too wet for a spark to start a fire.    Hope this next round falls above the lakes.  Most of the saturating rains have been below the Highland lakes watershed.

They said on the news tonight that the change in El Nino which is causing the excess rain in central US "could" cause more rains later in CA.  Hopefully in a more spread-out rate, but that rarely happens in CA....

I know California is hurting for precip of any sort. The old saying "Don't worry about the wildfires, the mudslides will put them out" isn't so true anymore.
My friends out there do want rain very badly. Hope it arrives soon.
