Grateful Dead, August, '71, Auditorium Theater, Chicago. Close to 4 hours. Not the loudest I ever heard, but me and my friends had to scream at each other for a couple hours so we could hear what we were saying.

I'm probably older than most of you, because my favorites would be......
Bill Haley and The Comets, The Temptations, Ike and Tina Turner, Willie Nelson (3 times). As for more "modern times".........John Fogarty, no queston.John in the Willamette Valley of Oregon -

KISS best show.
Cowboy Mouth most fun showLBGE and Primo XL Plano TX All right all right alllll riight -
It's sacrilege to say this, but I saw the dead in '72, and they were boring! And I like the Dead!
On the other hand, I saw Ratdog 3-4 years ago, and they rocked! Split the bill with the Allman Brothers, it was a treat to see Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks at the same time!
XLBGE, Small BGE, Homebrew and GuitarsRochester, NY -
Going with Paul Simon with his African band singers......got to go with a secound, The Moody Blues with the North Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra. Of course many Dead shows rank as well.
Bucketlist = Van "the man" Morrison and Cat Stevens!Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

KISS at Tiger Stadium in Detroit. The "people watching" was fantastic! I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan in 1985 at Meadowbrook which is a small outdoor venue. AWESOME!Flint, Michigan

Gotta throw one of my fav jokes in here:
Know what the first Deadhead said to the second Deadhead, when they ran out of weed?
"Dude, this band sucks!"

The best overall concert I've seen is Pearl Jam
I'm going to my 4th Dave Matthews Band concert next month though"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

Been to a lot of shows and I am quite jealous of some of the ones you all have been to see.
Most at surprising one lately was actually zac brown band- normally you have one or two great musicians in the group but they were all strong and played a wide variety of music.
Another less known one one show was Avett Brothers New Years eve 2014- but the copious amount of alcohol that night makes parts of the show a blur.Greensboro, NC -
Wife bought me floor seats to see Van Halen in '08 (with DLR) - was a great show, and happened to be 30th anniversary of the release of their debut album to boot.
Eric "GuitarEC"
Metro Atlanta Area -
AC/DC, Velvet Revolver, and Alice in Chains (post Lane Staley -RIP), Pearl Jam, and the Chili Peppers were all great shows. McCartney gave me chills the first time I heard him sing live. I thought KISS was pretty good but it wasn't legendary. ZZ Top was terrible.

Lyle Lovett and his big band at the Saenger back in '93 (I think) was incredible. I'm not really a big fan but he put on a great show and the venue was unreal.

Springsteen, Charlotte NC, April 19th 2014. He's The Boss and he proved it that night.

Springsteen. Without a doubt. There's not even a close second. I've seen The Who, Stones (twice), Eagles, Boston, Willie (twice), Yes, Blue Oyster Cult (with the Memphis Symphony), Van Halen, REO Speedwagon, Train, Sawyer Brown (before they had come up with that name), Pavarotti, Skynyrd, Journey, Steve Miller and a lot of others. The answer is Springsteen.
XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

I see lots of shows.
Hard to pick a favorite, but Ratdog at the Ryman was really good. Phish at Starwood with a host of guests. Maybe 2001?
Anything at the Ryman.

The Eagles, 1976 Hotel California tour, riverfront stadium in Cincinnati. It's when Joe Walsh joined the group.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

For me it was Jason Isbell at the Ryman last October. Definitely part of that is because the Ryman is such a great venue.
Others that rank highly would be The Great Went (Phish's first weekend show in Limestone, ME), Parliament-Funkadelic, Buddy Guy, and Medeski, Martin & Wood, all at the 9:30 club. I saw Norah Jones before her first album came out at some hole in the wall club in Arlington, VA with about 35 other people, which was pretty cool.LBGE
