My soon to be 4 yr old daughter loves steak off the egg and my almost 6 yr old son loves ribs, especially if he can eat them off the bone.
I never looked forward to my dad's grilling, and I have stopped that trend ha. My son wants to be using the egg with me, it's fun. -
That's really wonderful that you introduced him to different flavors and spices from the beginning. So smart!

The little fellow sure is off to a good start!! Nothing tickles me more than seeing a little one devouring meat. My daughter use to stay on me for letting the grand kids gnaw and chew on big chunks of Q when they was infants.Canugghead said:watch out @SGH , caliprince will challenge you one day

Made my day.

I taught my dogs everything they know about gnawing on bones.
When I go to a chicken wing place, I'm aghast at how much good stuff most people still leave on their chicken bones.

@Zmokin - he does act like a puppy most of the time. Another few months and I'll let him lick the grid clean.

@Foghorn - I wish, sometimes. They are so damn entertaining at this age.

@caliking - I'm not surprised, because I think I ate everything you had to cook in Salado. Totally unrelated: how do you and your wife feel about adoption?"I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Yes, but when he gets older he'll be able to put in a shift on the Egg like you saw my boy do in Salado a couple of years ago.
But then before you know it, he'll be all grown up... we learned yesterday that my son was accepted to college in the sound engineering program at the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins which is his first choice. He had been previously accepted into the EE program at UT Austin and was going to be happy to go there, but now it looks like he's going to Baltimore. He's our youngest (sister is at TX A&M) so Mrs. Foghorn is having a hard time with it.XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

@Foghorn - congrats! Hopkins is a great school, and Peabody is exceptional."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

@Foghorn - trust me, you and your boy are my inspiration! Working towards that goal everyday

And congrats to your son! Pursuing dreams means leaving your (and your mom's) comfort zone sometimes. Speaking from personal experience, I went to boarding school in India while my folks lived in the States, and then I came to the US for college, etc when they lived in India. I would not have changed it, since I am thankful for the life experience I gathered along the way. It was hell on my mom though, but she did it for what she thought was best for me.
@JohnInCarolina - we would love to adopt you! Folks from Chicago are alright in our experience.

I'm just curious, are you wanting to adopt the little boy? Or are you asking if @caliking would be interested in adopting you?JohnInCarolina said:@caliking - I'm not surprised, because I think I ate everything you had to cook in Salado. Heck, if he will feed me like that, I'm game for being adopted.

No worries, mon frère. Besides, I've cooked with (for?) you, and in some cultures that means we're betrothed for life. The cretins should be ignored, until they cook something and show it to us here. It's not like @cazzy actually knows how to cook anything anyways.@JohnInCarolina - we'll still adopt you though.
