You know some people consider that a sin, right?

    Deck boards just showed up.
Is it going to take 2 weeks to install that?  Or are they going more?  I thought you said two weeks.

It's ipe so it's going to take a while. A lot of the work was structural (installing correct footers etc). There's undercover decking as well. They've been jumping on it every day so I trust their schedule is fairly accurate.

Glad for you Michael. It will be so much better. Sorry about the insect damage. I had the same thing at my old house. The walls retained moisture and the insects destroyed it. Had to rebuild myself. PIA.
I used treated lumber for the repair, sold the house soon after. I included the repair in the list of items done.

Oh wow.  I didn't realize it was ipe at first glance.  That will be sweet.  Can't wait to see finished product.  Are you able to watch them from your boat with a pair of binoculars?

Pulled into an iron huntin' spot that was on the way to my La Quercia Speck and Italian extruded pasta spot for a quick look.

Found another $15 nonstick gem, a Wags Sidney #8.

The seasoning on it was dull, but excellent, sides and bottom are roached, a few fine knife marks on the inner bottom.  Seasoned a couple of times with grapeseed, and it's back to baseline.

Found it last night, used it today for breakfast.
The best intact seasoning I have found on a skillet, a true nonstick mirror finish.

Might need to poke around a little. Home inspectors amaze me. At least the ones that miss real stuff.
There's not a home inspector on the planet that would have caught this one. I just happened upon it and saw a couple of tiny bumps in the Sheetrock under the window sill.
Sorry about that buddy, it's always something.

On Wednesday the sales come out for the local grocery stores.  Went to harris teeter and didn't find anything I could live without.  Aldi's has rack of lamb  which I've never had good results.  Last time trying lamb...We will see.
