I'm not gonna judge anyone here but with 21,000 + posts one would think that this recent dust-up was not the first crap-storm into which he (@RRP) has sailed.  However, his life.  He has been a main-stay  contributor  for many, many years and has a wealth of knowledge that he has been quick to share, never mind the gasket service.
Perhaps the calling of the lawn was a bit too much to ignore this time around.
    Hopefully he returns.

Being bullied away is pretty lame Brandon.  Glad he is well.  Expect you to ride the high road of honesty.  Otherwise you are relegated to the low road of ignorance.  His comment on the prostate cancer survivor was ridiculous.  We're both in medicine, if you continue to defend it you too are ridiculous.  I have nothing against Ron!  Defending his horrible comment is simply horrible.  Go back and read it in context.  Horrible.  Pm me so we can take this off the forum.

Ok - guys...you have drawn me into this fold of defending myself.

Just to set the record straight - I was diagnosed with an advanced stage of prostate cancer 15 years ago when I was 58 years old. My Gleason score was an 8. For the uninformed a 9 is "dead man walking" and a 10 is "goodbye world". Laugh all you want, but being told my Gleason score was an 8 was a morbid evaluation.

My oncologist was actually a world renown individual. We (my wife of 36 years at that time) and I met several times with him as well as a couple times with a surgeon who had operated on some of my friends. Having seen the life changing effects from the surgery to my friends I made the choice - along with my wife's consent to go with a radiation procedure. That procedure left me impotent. Laugh now if you wish...but here I am 15 years later and I am cancer free. Would I choose the procedure I did again? YES.

In my opinion impotence is not funny, nor is making fun of a cancer survivor.
Ron, I would never mock a cancer survivor. What you went through was not, and is not, an easy journey. For that you have my respect.

This is the point really. Not the original thread (where I personally thought that Ron's comment was read in a way that was not intended), but the continued jokes at his expense in other threads.
