I'm throwing a bunch of dogs and burgers on the egg.  Our preacher is dropping off his 6 kids to eat and watch football and it just may give him and his wife a few hours of alone time.
Right now the whole house smells like homemade chocolate chip cookies  :)  It should be a intresting afternoon.
No pics, but after the burgers and dawgs, the kids got bored with football, so I sent the older ones to the creek to play, and Mrs. Bucky took the younger ones to draw on the driveway with chalk. I'm not sure what our new Pastor & wife thought when they came to collect them but let's just say all are going to have to have a bath before church tomorrow.    =)

The last time I tried Appleton was in Jamaica,  and it was GOOD!

  • @bgebrent they sure did, I was expecting a closer, lower scoring game but Kirby had them
looking good for this one. Thanks @DoubleEgger been a shimano fan for a while, I try to buy quality stuff that will last for a while. Hopefully I'll never have to buy another grill, at least that's what I told the wife when we got the LG but hanging around this forum has me thinking I need more sizes  =)

It was a very solid win.  Hoping for more.  Cats up 7 on FL in Q4!  Fingers crossed.

  • @bucky925 True that brother, Appleton is a solid choice and it's pretty cheap around here compared to others.

Got a decent deal on some pork sirloin roasts a few weeks back.  I just put one on.  Rubbed it as normal, then applied a mixture of apricot jam thinned out with jalapeno juice.

It's shaping up to be a good day - puttering in the shop - tunes playing - and smelling Q all afternoon - life is good.

I know it's just a hunk of pork, but it turned out pretty tasty.  I'm new to this cut, and ended up just cooking it like a butt. Kind of kicking myself for only buying 4 at this price.

@blasting that looks great.  I've never smoked one, but we always have a few of those cannonballs in the freezer.  They make great chile verde in a Dutch oven or crockpot, just cook them slow, covered with hatch or some other green chile sauce.
    Love you bro!

IA Penn St game was one of the best games I've seen in a while.

Josey Jewell and the IA D clamped down in the red zone, every time.  Saquon Barkley is unstoppable.  If healthy, he will get the Heisman.  350+ AP yards, stiff arms going OOB, his cuts, stops, hurdling DBs...had some flashbacks, I was a kid watching Sweetness.  The combination of power and speed is an absolute joy to watch.  Speaking of sweetness, had some leftover cookie dough, and scarfed this down during the game.

Yep, I would kill that! My cousin is the Iowa QB. Tough loss for him. They acquitted themselves extremely well though. Great heartbreaking game!

That is really cool Pete.  I'll root them on for that.

Knew they were in trouble punching it in so early with over a min and a half on the clock and TOs.

The hawks beat my daughters cyclones a couple weeks ago. Down to the wire. The win was far more important for Nate than it would have been for my daughter, it worked out for the best. It’s weird for me to root for the Hawkeyes, but family is family.

A big thanks to @GregW for sellig/shipping of his Stoker.

A few years ago I bought a used DigiQ for $25 minus the fan. Which wasn't a big deal as I would borrow my Auber Instruments PID fan for it. I ended up giving my Auber controller to brother-in-law since he picked up a Kamado Joe. So this left my DigiQ fanless. Which wasn't a deal breaker as I have a Stoker. I found myself needing a 2nd fan a few times but of course I didn't have one since giving my other controller away. I then came across GregW post about selling his Stoker. It was too good to pass up. I waited and even posted telling people to jump on it so I didn't have to. Well that didn't last too long. I jumped on it after waiting a little while. I figured if I had to buy another fan for my DigiQ why not just pay a little more and get the probes and Stoker with it. I told Greg that I would buy the Stoker and just give my DigiQ to my other friend who just picked up a Kamado Joe and all he would have to do is buy a fan for it. Greg mentioned that he had a fan housing and adapter for his old DigiQ that I could have! Now I was extra excited about this purchase. All I need to do now is buy a cheap fan for under $10 and I'll be able to give my friend a near new DigiQ!

The 2nd Stoker might be nice for the offset. I can have one Stoker monitor the cooking chamber and the other one near the warming cabinet. Yes it's overkill but I figure I can help a friend out and only pay so much more than I would have just a fan.
