Thanks for checking @Cashfan she's doing good... Won't eat kibble still  :s but she's acting more like herself, and she does eat the stuff i cook for her ...but I'm content with her progress at this point .
Glad to hear she's doing well.

I have a 13 year old blue heeler who is struggling with a bad back. He regularly needs assistance getting up. Petey still wags his tail, eats everything in sight and wants to ride in the truck. Dogs are amazing.

Well into roasting some beef ribs on the medium.
Rockwood with about 4 chunks of craft charred white oak barrell Lump. Gonna woop up some butter beans, stewed damato and okra to accompany. Oh and will top off with some of @JohnInCarolina Choc Pots for dessert. They are account.....quality tested them earlier today. ;)

@ColtsFan, I've downloaded at least three sets of plans for an outdoor pizza oven.  My Large made a fantastic interim solution, and I cooked so many pizzas over a year-and-a-half or so, I burned out on them completely.
For over two years I never touched pizza again; I'm slowly having a slice here and there, will eventually be cooking my own again.
But I don't need a big oven like that anymore.  Especially living alone.
    I love my Egg.

At a PhD hooding ceremony for Duke.  Two of my students set to get their degrees.  And before the jokes come, no the hoods aren't white.

I wish I could take pics of the lives I have saved, impacted, families too.  The many students I teach through the years.  ;)

Would make me feel so much better than a worthless divorced cashier at Aldi.

@pgprescott -  in part it depends on the rate of fuel load but surely you had quite an escape velocity ride.
Reminds me of an old saying, "I would have to rally to die."  Hope its not like that.

If anyone offers to sell you a Poulan Pro chainsaw, kick them in the backside.
Newer chainsaw? My Dad has an early 80's Poulan chainsaw that he just rebuilt. He refuses to buy anything newer. That's too bad about your chainsaw

Totally agree. Calling the stump grinding guy tomorrow. Going to the nursery Tuesday to get a replacement white dogwood. Heading to the cellar in just a few minutes, to find a nice Southern Rhone Blend that is a bit dust covered. Circa 1992. Prepping for LEO.

We did Mother's Day yesterday, went to Church with Mom and now it's time to relax on the deck and have some "me" time.

Makes me nervous looking at it from Louisville. IF I were there, I would hitch a rope to that bad boy and bring it down. I got to tell you, Jason, It was between Still and Husqvarna on the decision, I bought the Farm Pro, and it had really nice balance, and the weight was just right. I compared the chain bars on them, and it was my perception, and I may have been wrong, but the Husqvarna seemed to be a bit more durable. I could Torque the Still, not so much with the Husqvarna. That was the number one thing that piszed me off with That junk asz Poulan Pro. I hope I did not make a mistake, but if I did, I will come and get yours :i_dunno:
Wish your far better half, a very Happy Mother's Day.

My harrowing experance leaving my daughters graduation.  We swapped out cars because her's (2007 mazda 3) ac didnt work.  Left her a nissan  versa.  Well if any of you have ever traveled 421 out of Lillington it is desolate to say the least.  It was dark and raining and she had neglected to change the wipers.
Oh it gets better.  About 20 mins down 421 we hit a coyote.  My wife was driving and it lifted up my side of the car.  About a mile after the car started making a really BAD noise.  Nowhere to turn off, pitch black and rain.  When we made it to the Asheboro exit we stopped at a quickie stop and looked under the car.  It turned out the plastic skid plat was broken and dragging only holding by one bolt.  I didn't have my tool kit so the only thing to do was trudge on.

About 10 miles down the road (with no defrost and bad wipers with rain pelting down) the biggest buck deer I've ever seen ran out in front of us.  Mrs. B hit the brakes and we missed it by no more that 10 feet.  GEEZE.  The wife told me she would like to stop and get some munchies but with with our luck we would walk into a stop and rob.   So we continued on.

When we got to I85 the rain really picked up.  We couldn't even see the road lanes.  I have never been so glad to see our exit.

    Thanks for letting me share.

I'm glad no one was hurt other than a coyote. Just tell your daughter that you gave her car a little character. ;)

That is nuts.  There are horror movies that start off less ominous than this.  I think you made the right call not stopping for food!
