Waiting for the pork! Stable 250 F on the Egg, 180 F internal now.
Changed the engine lid seal on the camper and sprayed Dynax inside the lid, in the jacking points and in the sills while the pork cooked, as it's a nice afternoon. -
Morning coffee on the patio with the WGC matches on TV. Nice, relaxing morning so far.

Just saw this Coleman on the news this morning, pretty clever. I'm sure once you're used to it, tearing it down will be much quicker (I had a learning curve with both my photo reflectors, and bandsaw blades).

Kelty 2.0 is a nice piece of equipment. I see them in the Rockies frequently, and the folks that use them praise them.Acn said:
We got Kelty Upslope 2.0s. We hadn't really used them before, so we didn't want to go too premium out of the gate before we determined if we'd use them or not. However, even after just one use, we are definitely fans.YukonRon said:
What kind did you get? They make hiking/backpacking 10X easier. We did 7.7 miles in the RRG today. Multiple 300 ft climbs and drops throughout the trek. Came in ultra handy. We got LEKI's . Love them.Acn said:@sgh - thanks!
@eggcelsior - Yeah Great Falls, from the VA side. My MIL got all three of us hiking poles for Xmas, so this was the first time we broke them in, on a 3.5 mile loop.
Very cool to find another BPer in here.

Bumped the temperature for the last hour and a half to try and reach 200 F. Ran 250 F for 9.5 hours then slowly rising to 290 F at the end, got to 200 F internal after a total of 11 hours for 4.5 lb shoulder.
It's very good, I prefer the spice and sugar combination and then a bit of Stubb's sauce when eating.

Our number 2 child is 22, so we had a cake after the kids had pulled pork, mash and broccoli or their tea.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
Not sure why we keep giving these outdoor/stray cats fresh water. They seem to prefer the puddles and an old bucket we have sitting out by the Egg????

I've been wanting to fry up some yardbird since that thread also. We are regulars with the broccoli and sweet potatoes too. Looking good brother. Wooo!theyolksonyou said:Been craving fried chicken since the what don't you cook thread. While wheat flour as a nod to my health.

Friday I got a used vibration reduction (VR) Nikkor lens for a song, my first one. Tried it out today at a duck pond, without a tripod.

So, even our web-footed friends, who may be somebody's mother*, are wearing them damn man-buns?!?!?!?

Wanted something like this since the first Jurassic park. We have a Colman instant cabin 8p that is nice for car camping but that has a cool factor to it.Botch said:Just saw this Coleman on the news this morning, pretty clever. That tent looks just like the pop up batting nets used in kids baseball and softball. Takes a few times to get the muscle memory, but easy to pack after that. The only drawback is the size of it - really flat, but bigger than most trunks.U_tarded said:

I'm reading this thread.
I'm thinking, I should post that I am thinking.
Sometimes, I just say "sometimes". The rest of the thought is occasional. Your guess is as good as mine.
When someone says "that's profound", it really isn't. Probably, someone else has already done it.
