Our waiter who was wearing a tuxedo says, "You guys have a good table reserved. It's the best view of the traffic!" Now this is my kind of place. A place that understands this fake holiday. Another year of a candle lit dinner at White Castle. A yearly tradition!

Walnut will likely be a kitchen live edge shelf now with knot issues.

I built a hall table with a piece of spalted oak with a large, cracked knot on one end.  I left it as-is, and love the way it looks.
I've seen some tables and turnings in Santa Fe that had the crack filled with crushed turquoise in epoxy, it looks okay but kinda kitschy.

Coverage only lasts for so long... I'm still with the initial (aka training wife of 34+ years) but I doubt a Patriots resurrection is anywhere close to the horizon.  Onward and upward.  ;)

    Thanks @Botch,
Will likely leave as is and make a shelf or treat it and hang on the wall for a future euro mount.

That's crazy to think about when you sit back and ruminate. We started at 19 and are hitting 15 years together, which is nuts. Soon, we'll be together longer than we have been apart, which is bonkers to me.

Love Yellowstone. While in college, many years ago, we received credit for assisting the USGS in verification surveys of GQs in the park. It was the entire summer of 1980, I think.
We saw just about all of that park, and it remains a destination for me to return.
My Beautiful Wife and I are planning for 2018.
She has never been. For me, a foster child from Kentucky, it was the most amazing place I had been in my life at that time. It was sensory overload. I will never forget, one of the professors asked me at that time, "Have you ever even seen mountains?" To which I replied, "I am from the mountains of Southeastern Kentucky, heck yeah, I have." He just laughed.
I had no idea. I have been summiting since, and will until I can't lift my legs.
    Great pictures Michael.

I don't know about the chili. If he dotes over her like he did his chili (lid opened, stirred and adjusted every two minutes)....then that could be the reason. Other than that.....I'm with you guys...as confused as hell.

Shot this one in North Dakota.  This was the summer after Mt. Pinatubo in the Phillipines blew up, lots of particles in the upper atmosphere and gave the most beautiful, red light!
