Just gut home from outback. Had a gift card to use up.  Never again, next time I get one of those gift cards I'm giving it to an employee. I'd rather have had Hardee's, and bud light.

Nice story.  Just finished cleaning and finishing my new Benelli M2.  Number 2.  Home defense made easy.  I've shot quail, this gun won't go quail hunting.  It stays at home.

Just cleaned my GAU-8/A Avenger, what a pain in the ass.  Pretty much makes home defense dangerous to the next 20 houses in whatever direction it's pointed at.   I feel yur pain.

Knowing nothing about guns, I Googled the guns you guys just mentioned. @nolaegghead wins. LOL

Here's a picture of the ammo his gun uses (it's the one on the left):

+1 for Benelli.  I shoot a Remington 1100 that I was given to me as a teenager by my father.   I gave my son the Benelli M2 Field (not Tactical) when he was a teenager.

I'd never shoot a newer Remington. Old ones are ok. I've had too many problems with them. I had a .17HMR blow up in my face.

SWMBO noticed today on facebook (on a site dedicated to Algiers Point) someone had put a bunch of stuff out on the curb a few blocks away  Post was 5 minutes old.  "everything works".  Free.

So we swung by and picked up a chest freezer.  It was even clean inside.  It's sitting in the back of my truck, I'll test later tonight.

On the way back to the house, saw Linda Hamilton taking christmas decorations off her house.  I told SWMBO - "hey that's Linda Hamilton".  She said - yep.
Update - A buddy and I moved the freezer to the back yard.  Plugged it in and it's cooling a keg of SMASH beer right now.

A little more on topic. Baching it this weekend. Did a (maybe) undercooked pork chop and some fries.  Cut the fries a little differently. Will do this again. Cut them into 3/16" slices then halved them. Plenty of swamp venom too. Damn.

Those'll scoop up a fair amount of ketchup or fry sauce, too; nice!

I did leave the offshore industry. But I have been doing some third party pressure vessel inspection as of late.

@SGH Did you turn the fish fryer upside down on the egg? That's what it looks like to me - If so - I like it.

Now I'm going back to catch up on the fat finger thread...
