Finishing up the emptying of my basement.  Probably another hour before it's time for a shower, a beer, and then some tri tip on the egg.

The Sassafrass and Evanston, IL not Addison, IL threw me off yesterday.  Thanks to google, figured out it wasn't a pot base as first thought, but a deep dish pie pan that pairs with the stone bowl with the marking 3615.  Went back, grabbed it too, for 6 bucks.

They were taking off additional 20%, so each wags was 14, and the unmarked wags 8.  Passed on a Griswold with swirl marks.  These will be like glass, perfect for personal pan pizzas, ramekins.

As a Bear fan, it was hard for me to put this one down... such a bada$$.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Well it is a 750 ml Allagash, so it'll provide a couple of glasses out of the one bottle.

It isn't a project I'm excited about (especially because I'll need to put everything back once it's waterproofed and renovated), but I will enjoy not having to worry as much when we get heavy rain and having a more usable, livable space.

The best part of a reverse sear, other than eating it is the beverage time by the grill :-)

Usually I only see page 1 thru 100 on the top of the forum page.  For one second, it showed 5431. I clicked on that last page and I was transported to the year 2000.  now I can't figure out how I saw that far back.

    Pork belly with herb sauce

I like how you "chunked" that belly. It gives it an old school non traditional flair that slicing lacks. Was that belly cooked Sous Vide or straight smoker?

Current temp as I type = 89 degrees.

Brother the heat sure has been relentless this year. 5:15pm and it's still 85 degrees here. They are actually predicting it to go back into the 90's in November down here. But it's not really surprising.

Last night I slept on the deck - love this time of year.  The intoxicating smell of brisket cooking lulled me off to sleep.
