Turned in the lifetime warranty card at RRA this morning.

Traced and cut the Plano case.
Snug as a bug in a rug.

Installed the FDE Raptor charging handle, and added a little nail polish.

A laser boresight and she's ready to Rock.

A good clean fun filled day.

Not much left but a Phase 5 extended bolt release, KNS Precision anti-rotation pins, and a Vickers 221 sling.

Looking forward to dialing her in.

Thanks!  This has been a fun project.  Kind of bittersweet it's coming to a close.  Was fondling an Operator 2 at the shop today, for my son.  Lol

I am sick, and need some serious help.

I am making Black Iron Boat spaghetti. Got the venison/Russian boar meatballs slow smoking over Pecan as we speak.

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

Just got off work, drinking some ice cold diet A&W, and smoking up 2 chickens.  One for the dog and one for us.

I hope to make it-at least for a while.  And I will have to stay away from the slushes-I don't do brown water on the road.

Messing with a coworker who has a habit of leaving tools at job sites.  I didn't have time or I would have taken a picture of it at the pawn shop :smirk:   Always make sure you have ATAF.  Clearly he's never worked on a flight deck or flight line where lives depend on till accountability.

Would love to see pics of your current builds.

This has been a great first rip starting with a decent quality local rifle, and bolting on from there.  Only screwed up once ordering a Strike Industries Link foregrip that would not work on the RRA.  Will hold onto it for future use though.   =)

Have learned so much about the AR platform as I went.  A ground up build would be a blast, not ruling one out.  This has been a dream for quite some time, and an early 40th b-day gift to myself.  Finally caved and pulled the trigger.

@bgebrent We may have to do a SSR for 'Cap and Jason. Shtuff don't get upside-down and backwards until @theyolksonyou arrives.

Rumor has it, that because Robin is going to be in attendance, as one of the many guests of honor, and bringing the trophy, which signified his place in history of  exhibiting good sportsmanship, and competing within the rules, using no PEDs, Jason does not want  to show up and hear about @northGAcock coming from behind, against all odds, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, in a last second hail mary, at the World Championship Wings throw down. Some have suggested he is still a tad bitter. I for one, don't think so.....

@lousubcap would love to have you, we might have to send some slushies home with you, but we will have fuel alternatives that will use lower propulsion and provide less altitude than your WORLD FAMOUS Typical LEO.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND SUNDAY AT 5 PM IS THE FEAST TO THOSE INTERESTED. It will be the main event, We chose 5PM, because, well, why not? We never hit the mark, it hardly ever is any earlier, and usually later, so not really worried about punctality. We just plan on dumping the first kettle on the newspaper covered table sometime around then. However, we will be in, and around, celebrating, in some manner, from Friday night on cooking setting up and prepping.

Beer flavor suggestions are now being accepted. feel free. You don't want me or my BIL's picking the liquid carbs. At least the will be free and cold.

I have a project going on in Montreal, but I hope to be back by 9/1. cutting it close, but I think we can get it done by then.

Last count from My Beautiful Wife and the event's primary hostess: 50 people.I am not sure if that includes the folks from the 'hood.

We are trying to get tables and chairs, and offering up wine sacrifices to the weather Gods for good luck. So far, it is not working.

Tip: if you own a camp chair, you just may realize the value of having one with you, JIC.

Looking forward to seeing you all. And to those that make the trip, Thank you, Those that can't, maybe next year? Hope so. Hope Jason wins some sort of wing cooking contest between now and then, so he will definitely show up.

    Peace

@NPHuskerFL This reminds me of an egger who stole his Mom's wooden beaver out of her backyard. The egger and his wife took the Beaver everywhere they went and took pictures with it. (Mom was pretty upset when it went missing as she thought someone actually stole it from her property) Mom eventually got it back a year or so later but not before she received a picture book cleverly written: "Where has my mom's beaver been?" I'm almost on the floor laughing when he tells the story.
