Cleaning up and seasoning a couple of my old griswolds to put on CL. I want a stainless blackstone but have been trying not to buy anything. Trading some in is fine though.

That's how I do it as well.  When I want something new, I justify it by selling off whatever is sitting unused.

You might rethink the stainless blackstone.  Seems to me, someone was having problems with it.

Brother Double had recurrent problems with the SS skirt warping.  I'd stick with the standard model.  It works great!

Yeah I was reading the Amazon reviews and saw they weren't so hot. Good news is I can easily get $240 for the regular blackstone with the 2 skillets I am selling.

Brined a couple big yard birds.  Hit them with some Loveless Peach-B-Q.  Little Hickory because that's all I have.

On the hook. Crab pots down, cold beer in hand and awaiting an awesome sunset.....sitting between Decatur and Lopez island, just south of Trump Island ( for real.....not starting a political discussion here). Thinking about cooking some pasta for dinner......but in no hurry. Ms Pattie has started another book

Test run on the fire pit. 3.5 ft deep, filled with gravel. Rain washes ashes down, and the water is filtered clean by the carbon.
Looks ritious brother. Can't tell from the picture....you have a grate made for it.

@northGAcock -  you definitely have a few hours before sunset.  Great weather shot right there-reads like you have dodged the regular liquid sunshine that the area is noted for.  On the hook is about as good as it gets in the San Juans.  Gotta be a back-story for how you are there from SC.  Most eggcellent.  Enjoy the remainder of a great vacation adventure.  Congrats to your bride for embracing (?) the trip.

@northGAcock - I saw your prior posts, just wondering how someone from SC would end up cruising around the San Juans.  Figured there had to be some prior area or cruising knowledge/history.  Regardless, enjoy the remainder of your celebration.  Great trip for sure.

Lou....I have to throw a great deal of credit to @Sea2Ski has prior Expierence in these waters. Mark had sent me ariel photos for some great anchoring, a lead on a boat.....and charting my routs on several days. Mark has asked that I pay it forward as he has. While not the level of Expierence, I am happy to assist others with Amy planning.....oh and I will be back as some point in the future.

@northGAcock -  thanks for the background.  I would watch out for @Sea2Ski as I recall he has been cruising around New Zealand as well  ;)

You and Amy coming up? I THINK the number is at 40-50 right now, and people calling everyday. Have not even spoke to the natives in the area, yet.
Making a ton of bourbon slushies. Might just forget about the keg and just fill coolers with a variety of beers.
@northGAcock we used to have a grate, but with two BGEs and 2 webbers, not needed. It was retired when it burnt through.
