We just sat around the coffee table covered in butcher paper, the loin roast sitting on a cutting board, slicing and having sides as the night went on. Slow moving today, got a beef tenderloin roast going on the MM, making slaw and potato salad. Oh, and bourbon slushies too."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

The MM is an amazing little cooler. I did an indirect cook of a beef tenderloin roast tonight. Set it for 250F dome and it was a rock steady performer, it never budged.I prepped the tenderloin with perforations and used soy sauce as the base, I used my own rub, and smoked this cook with sugar maple, to an IT of 125 in the thickest part of the meat.
I pulled, wrapped in foil, let stand for 20 mins, and served with a Gorgonzola/garlic/butter pâté I made from scratch. The sides were also from scratch; potato salad and coleslaw.
Leftovers will be served on My Beautiful Wife's home made biscuits in the morning.
We had a white burgundy (Chardonney) with the meal."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

When in doubt Accelerate.... -
Yard work and pool work today. It's f'n hot - or I'm not used to it yet.
Just started the egg for some prime strips later, drinking a beer, listening to the Giants game and put one chunk of peach on the fire just for some olfactory ambiance (that means good smells yolk).
Love you bro! -
Pork burnt ends for the pool party today. Biggest cook yet 90 lbs. pretty much nailed it.

Enjoying my favorite drink. Jack and Coke. Heavy on the Jack.

The Publix was, well, okay. I had heard that it was "better than Harris Teeter", but I say BS to that! Teeter has IMHO, better meat selection and seafood. The Taj Ma Teeter, as locals say, blows Publix out of the water with their offerings.
I was checking out their meat selection and no one asked if I needed help. Teeter's employees always ask in a matter of seconds.
It was neat though. Pretty crazy to have a parking deck and to get in an elevator to go grocery shopping.------------------------------
