Just performed a very advanced patina effect. It is called "throw them in the dirt while wet maneuver". You will notice, afterwards you change your setup.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Yes, it is a concern even here, even with the dry weather. First rain after a long dry spell wahes the rust powder right off on things you do not want rusted. These are being heavily clear coated. Will probably need to do it every other year or so. Also, I have learned a magic erasure takes off rust stains if you get to it reasonably fast.alaskanassasin said:@Ozzie_Isaac around here I would worry about rust staining the stucco or whatever you have going on there but probably not a concern in your climateI would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Behold - normality resumes and all is good again. Every game matters now as Champions League and relegation places remain up for grabs. It’s tight at the top with Big Jurgy’s Reds breathing down the necks of Man City. Chelsea seem unaffected by their ownership issues. Everyone down to Leicester in 10th are safe, Norwich look sunk already.
Saturday
Liverpool v Watford, the John Barnes derby. Easy 3-0.
Brighton v Norwich, two spectacular losing streaks collide at the Filthy Seagull’s nest. Much as I would prefer the Canaries to pick up a very needed win, it seems unlikely. 0-0
Burnley v Man City, not ideal timing for the relegation threatened Clarets. City’s shut out by Palace will have galvanised Pep’s lads and so a routine 0-2 looks on the cards.
Chelsea v Brentford, a meeting of neighbours across the garden fence. The hosts are in fine trim, the visitors still flirting with drop danger. A sprinted away defeat. 2-1
Leeds v Southampton, the hosts have re-grouped and so arrested their descent. Saints are just weird. 2-0
Wolves v Aston Villa, going to be a tight contest between local rivals. One place but 10 points apart, both off the back of defeats. Nervy, cagey stuff. 1-1
Man Utd v Leicester, a non-event season rumble son for the Foxes. Perhaps the Summer will see the last vestiges of the league winning old-guard depart and new impetus arrive? Utd have stumbled but remain 6th and retain a tilt at 4th. All three results possible but 2-1 feels right.
Stoke v Sheffield Utd, season’s more or less over for the Potters whilst the Blades or on the trail of a return to the PL. The visitors will have greater desire, so 0-2
Sunday
West Ham v Everton, the travelling Toffees are in a parlous state and Super Frank is on a blame offensive. The Hammers will just be too strong. 2-0 and the pressure mounts.
Spurs v Newcastle, Eddie Howes has more or less kept Toon up now and is looking forward to a huge bonus and therefore probably the sack in the Summer as bigger names are lured in. Spurs have come alive again and will ease to through this encounter. 2-0
Monday
Palace v Arsenal, a good match-up despite the 8 places separating the teams. Screams draw but either could nick it by the odd goal. But it’s 1-1 for me.
On a parting note & FYI; 17 degrees C last weekend in my garden - currently just 3. That was a short Summer even by British standards.
Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay -

Looking forward to the World Cup draw - to see what games we won't be seeing in person. We signed up for the ticket lottery and got the right to buy tickets to 4 games. But FIFA couldn't get their stuff together and open the lodging website and I wasn't going to commit $18k for airfare and tickets when I didn't have known lodging in a city that is going to be stressed to the max. On a given day in a World Cup there probably 400k to 1m fans in the country. In Qatar they will be all in 1 city - which is estimated to have 32k - 60k hotel rooms... so we let the purchase date on the tickets pass...

I heard the Russian soccer federation put in a bid to host just recently. I hope they are prepared for disappointment.

Picked up some sweet sinker cypress from a friend of mine. Buying this panel saw from him...he's moving out of his wood shop of 22 years. He's going to borrow my big trailer to move some long boards. I will probably make him an offer for lumber he doesn't want and didn't sell during his moving sale. Also got a rusty old table saw.

Also he was going to take a bunch of pizza pans and other restaurant ware to the recycling people. I told him I'd take all that.

Think the group should have a thread of it's own?lousubcap said:Only fitting-England and USA in Group B.
In the run-up, Scotland and Ukraine have to play and all things considered I reckon they might have other more important things to attend to?
Winner then faces the Gareth Bale invitational XI.
In normal circumstances those three are quite closely matched.
Can you even imagine the impact of the Qatar climate on our Tartan festooned, porridge guzzling, thistle chomping friends? They rarely see daylight, let alone sunshine and in an ostensibly 'dry' country. They should follow the lead of @Foghorn and watch it on the big screen down the pub.
A check of Google shows that France '98 was the last competitive game between USA and Iran. So not much history to speak of, then.......Other girls may try to take me away

Yep. I was at the US-England game in 2010 when Robert Green fumbled Clint Dempsey's weak left-footed shot into the goal to allow the US to get a draw. I won't be there this time.CPFC1905 said:

Unlike previous World Cups, when we selected games in the ticket application process, in this year's process I had to guess which games were likely to have #1 seeds and guesstimated that the schedule would be similar to previous years when the #1 team would play the #2 team as the first match in each group. However, for TV purposes they have redone the schedule and the "Pot" system used for selection doesn't correlate with the group numbers (e.g. the team from Pot 2 that got selected for Group B is NOT team B2 on the match schedule).
So, where I selected what I thought would turn out to be B1 (England) vs B2 (US), that game is going to be England vs Iran.
Other match tickets I could have purchased include:
France vs AUS/PER/UAE (not Denmark - would have been fun to see the resurrected Christian Eriksen)
Netherlands vs Ecuador
Croatia vs Canada (not Belgium)
As a result, I am even more OK with the fact that we are not going.

Looks awesome @Ozzie_Isaac. Do you guys see a lot of snakes or do all the farm animals keep them at bay?Las Vegas, NV

We see snakes a lot. Had a bull snake in the garage yesterday, I like them around. They eat mice and rattlesnake. I also saw two rattlesnakes in the last 3 days. They are starting to move as it warms up. The backyard is snake proofed though. Solid steel fencing, and at the base I have mesh wire going down about a foot into the ground. The gates are all ground tight when closed. We have had a few rattlers in the backyard, but always when someone left a gate open for an extended period of time.Battleborn said:Looks awesome @Ozzie_Isaac.
